Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rollers - Quiet and Smooth I recently had a new garage door opener installed. The installers, not surprisingly, indicated that the 10 rollers on the guide tracks also needed to be replaced (they really didn't but they were 15 years old and noisy) and that they could do it at additional substantial cost. I told them no and then did some on-line research and found these nylon/ball bearing rollers from Home Depot to be the best. The 10 rollers cost me 20% of what the installers wanted and after watching a short on-line video about installation (a very simple process) replaced them myself in 30 minutes. With the new opener and rollers the garage door is now very quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I had looked at HD before paying to have this done!!! I paid a small fortune to have the bearings changed on my garage door. Stupid, stupid, stupid!! But I did watch the repairman and now know the exact order to replace them next time: bottom, top, then middles. The new bearings allow the door to operate quietly and smoothly. It was retreating and blinking if we did not hold the close button.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for Ordered and received quickly. Took approx. 1/2 hour to install all ten rollers on door while still in place. Garage door much smoother and quieter. Will order ten more for the other door soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Replacement Much quieter than steel rollers. The write up is kind of misleading, it has 10 rollers and they are grade 11.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the product was as it was pictured in the add. What's to review? They want 50 words on garage door rollers? Their just rollers. My old ones were 25 years old and made of steel. I saw the nylon rollers and knew they would be quieter than steel. I buy them. I install them. Their quieter. That's it, it's not rocket science.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth and quiet High quality door rollers roll my door smoothly and quietly much better than the original cheap metal rollers

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Out of Spec If you are really looking for a 1.875 diameter roller, be aware that, when I measured them with my micrometer they actually are 1.780. Considerably undersized. They will have considerable play (read noise) in 2 inch garage door tracks which is what you are trying to get away from by ordering these. The bearing race assemblies are not all that quiet either. If you have very low end 1.750 diameter rollers these will certainly help but for the price, not a very good value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Working well after a few weeks. So far so good. I had a roller sheer off a month or so ago, so looked into replacements and found these online. All reviews seemed positive, so I went ahead and purchased them. They shipped in a timely manner, took a couple of days, but I wouldn't have been able to get to them anyway. When I finally did, it took me a couple of minutes to figure out that I would have to take off the hinge to replace, but that was simple enough. The bottom two were a bit tricky and I am sure there are better ways to replace them than what I used, but after a little wiggling and a bit of door manipulation, they finally came into place. Took a little over half and hour for me to replace all of them. They have been running on the door for about 3 weeks now I guess and they are doing well. They didn't cut the door sound as much as I had hoped, but that is not due to the rollers (the door creaks and groans in other places). The rollers seem to be pretty quiet and I do believe the door is better in the quiet department. Overall they seem like a good fix for a good price with thus far good results. I would recommend these. I rarely give an Excellent rating, so take that for what it is worth. Very satisfied thus far.

Are these rollers made in USA as they are considerably more expensive than the other Duralift brand $4.50 each compared to $2.00 each
Asked by: Mugsy
Anon, my garage door is OEM from the 50's. Well built of solid wood with nice big windows, I wanted to save it. After replacing the bottom 2 inches, I needed bottom brackets and 2 rollers. I chose the premium product because it would be exposed to the most abuse from weather and such. If you want to cut costs, use the OEM choices at $2.00 each for the rest of your job, and use these for the bottom. I'm sure both Home Depot offerings are fine, but chance favors the prepared mind. For $5, I'll take the "Insurance" of a better product.
