The handle and lock set is adaptable to a wide range of door thicknesses with great instructions to avoid confusion in which parts are required for each door thickness range. The HK357DB05 is designed for out swinging storm door, and it's a surface mount handle set suitable for any handedness (left or right). It can replace any surface mount handle set, but not mortise type handle set. Read the instruction found under "Info & Guides", verify weather the inside latch and deadbolt would interfere with your main door handle.
