This is sturdy, has rubber no-slips on the bottom, a lip around the top plate so your ladder feet can't slde off, and it all disassembles into a flat package for storage. One of those things you don't need that often but when you're working on a ladder on stairs it's irreplaceable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy & Reliable Stable. Excellent for working in a stairwell. My ceiling is 18 feet tall and this allows me to access for painting, chandelier adjustment and bulb changes. Don't use it every day but glad I have it when I need it. Use it with the extendable 21 foot ladder I have. Not cheap but what price do you put on safety and security in an area you can't easily set up scaffolding?
