Rated 1 out of 5 by Patrick from I should have listened! They are garbage! I bought 3 of these today and just like the negative reviews say, they are garbage! First one, straight out of the box, says it successfully connected but the app shows an exclamation market while the device itself says it's connected to the internet. It doesn't turn on or off, so I thought that maybe I had bad luck with that one. I opened the second box and exact same problem. Exclamation marks of the app and they simply don't work. There is no point opening the third box, they are all being returned to the store tomorrow. I was thinking of buying 2 outdoor ihome plugs next for the Christmas lights but there is NO WAY I'm touching any ihome products after these horrible plugs. Total waste of my time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Macman from Not impressed so far Bought this a few days ago and I have to say... 1> Setup does not follow what is shown in the setup guide Once figured out on my own it worked (seemingly) fine. 2> If "internet" goes down it is not smart enough to rejoin the network - have to unplug device and plug back in. 3> day after install, it is not showing up on my iPhone - it seems to have disconnected from the network. Had to re-install and scan the code provided with the unit to get it to work again. I would not recommend buying these until they figure out how to write correct setup documentation, get their devices to rejoin a network and stay joined so the "Smart Device" actually works as advertised. Not very smart at the moment. Might return if this continues to be problematic.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ARHam from One of the worst IoT devices around This is, without a doubt, one of the worst and most unreliable IoT devices I have ever seen. Between their cloud services going down repeatedly, the firmware updates not working at all, the device constantly failing to connect to their back end, it is just a disaster. The hardware seems okay, the device would have been okay, but their services, which are entirely depended on for basic operation, don't work properly, are unreliable, and appear to be held together with some type of gum instead of code.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Washaw the Cat from Very disappointed with iHome Bought this based on design and reviews but I could not get the device to connect to my home WiFi, work WiFi or any WiFi for that matter. The phone app was able to see the device but every time I entered my WiFi password the app would revert back to the discovering devices function (plug light constantly blinking green). A reset did nothing to fix this issue. I am knowledgeable with tech so this thing is a huge bust. Avoid and choose another brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Athome59 from Game Changer! I have a number of plugs controlling lights by programming them as well as being able to override the patterns without messing up the patterns. I also use them on printers and other devices that use extra electicity when remaining on even in sleep mode. I can start them from my iPhone when needed and then turn them off when done.

So now I say "hey siri turn on the espresso machine" and it does every time. hey siri goodnight and it turns off all my lamps. Brilliant! I bought five of them.
