Rated 5 out of 5 by from LED Pot light retro-fit Retro-fit an older pot light was an easy process except for the removal of an older assembly which may require a Sawsall with a metal blade. The one downside that I experience is that the original hole for the light was poorly cut which lead to a poor fit. To fix this issue you need to order what are known as "Goof Rings" which are available on Amazon. They are a white plastic rings which may require some shaping and shaving to obtain the correct fit on the back side of the pot light

I was extremely pleased with how they worked there as it was not very ideal (some light were beside joists). Now I ordered just a single one to replace a old pot light and again it made it very easy for a shallow ceiling application.

I have bought 5 of these lights and have tried two different brands of dimmer switches and both times I am experiencing flickering. Are these lights truly dimmable? and if they are is there a specific dimmer switch that needs to be purchased for these?

Thank you for choosing DALS. The light panels you purchased are fully dimmable. Our fixtures were tested with great results using Lutron and Leviton dimmers. If the model you have purchased has the ability to be adjusted, try adjusting the MIN/MAX as there might be too little wattage for the dimmer setting. Please make sure there is only one dimmer switch controlling the lights. If more than one switch controls the lights, one of them needs to be a regular ON/OFF.

What makes these lights ‘sloped ceiling compatible’ we need to ensure it will go on our sloped ceiling. Also what is the colour brightness (colour type)

These lights use sprung clips to hold them securely to the surface they are set in. The colour of the lighting is soft white similar to an incandescent bulb.

Is the LED bulb replaceable when it burns out or does the whole unit need to be replaced?

Can you install more than one of these in series (daisy chain)?

Thank you for choosing Illume. You can install many panels. Each panel will have it's junction box with integrated driver. The only limitation is your electrical panel.

Can this light be used in a retrofit with casing from old recessed lighting?  The casing diameter is 6 inches.
