Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kiln dried means very little...warped garbage You will have to pick through at least twice as many boards as you need to find ones that aren’t damaged and or warped beyond use. Little to no quality control exercised by the depot’s purchasers as usual.NB -there is an NDA style user agreement that you must agree to before posting that includes their ability to modify, paraphrase or just not post negative reviews as they become property of Home Depot...it is so all encompassing and perpetual that once you post they can use your name forever and rewrite this post in it’s entirety to seem as rosey as they wish. I reclaim those rights as I consider this agreement made under duress. Your move Depot legal...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not using Online Ordering for shelving again This was on online order and the boards chosen by the staff all had some an unusable part . On 2 of the boards I cut off the bad ends and used the rest, the third board which has a big hole is still in my garage but a hassle to return because of the size

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hello knots, cracks and warps I purchased more shelves than I needed just in case some were not usable for my needs. I'm so glad I did as all had various knots, cracks and various other issues. I was just barely able to finish what I wanted with a lot of waste left over.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I bought some boards and didn’t like what I got I bought these boards in London I came home (I live outside of London) my one board was great but my other one was cracked basically from one end to the other I wasn’t happy at all, I don’t think they cared about what boards they are giving people! I called after I noticed the crack they said I could come back and exchange it but I live outside of London and wasn’t going to go back. I ended up going going to exchange it the next day and again I got home it had a huge knot in the middle of the board so I won’t be going back again!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great Not the greatest quality. Lots of knots and actual holes. Unfortunately I got this during COVID-19 so didn’t inspect it until I got home. Could have been better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inspect before you accept them in curbside pickup I bought couple of them but half of them were not straight. That is the downside of buying online and my issue that I just picked up without inspecting them.

Hi, What is the difference between the shelving and knotty pine? I am just not sure of the visual difference since both reference pictures are the same. Also, are these board available in a bulk purchase? Thank you

Asked by: Matt
Hi, Thank you for this question. It is just larger and more defined knots in the knotty pine. Also, the 1x10x8 knotty pine has a nominal width of 9-1/2". Also, no bulk pricing on Alexandria products.

What are the actual dimensions of this piece of wood? I know the thickness is really 3/4? Is the width also slightly less than 10 inches? (If we were not in a lockdown, I'd go measure it myself but I have to buy this sight unseen so to speak)

Asked by: PRochefort
9.25" is what you'll usually get. Because it's shelf grade lumber, you can sometimes get a wonky board that's closer to 9" at one end, and 9.25" at the other!

If used as a shelf, how much weight can it hold?

Asked by: Sfjz
it all depends on the type and amount of brackets you use, the spacing between brackets and how the brackets are attached to the wall.
