Rated 5 out of 5 by from This unit is heavy duty. This is the 3rd reverse osmosis water purifier I have owned and by far the best made. The metal cage is heavy duty as well as the pump and all of the plastic filter housings. It is easy to install (if you have some plumbing experience and knowledge of how water routes through one of these systems). I was able to install this myself with only one issue that was quickly remedied by calling the help line. Nick was able to trouble shoot accurately within seconds of describing my problem and the system has worked great ever since. I love it because it requires no tank. We haven't bought bottled water in over a month since installing this unit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from iSpring Home Water Filtration We bought this system 1 year ago and it has worked flawlessly. Our well water had higher than desired arsenic levels so we always bought bottled water from the store in 5 gal jugs. The cost was increasing and it was a constant chore to carry a 50lb bottle of water and set it up evey few days. The ispring system has completely eliminated the need for bottled water. We have plumbed this with a storage tank to the main kitchen sink cold water. We also installed the wsp-100 sediment filter to catch the fines. This also works vey well. The washing machine used to have plugged screens every three to four weeks, now it never plugs.

Will this unit produce enough water for a dishwasher at full load (hot water)?

Will this unit produce enough water for a dishwasher at full load (hot water)?
Asked by: 123ppc
Hi 123ppc, This system is recommended for drinking and cooking water purposes only. Also you would never want to connect an RO system to a hot water connection, only cold water is suitable for RO systems. Thank you, iSpring Water Systems LLC

I seem to be getting an average of 1:2 ratio instead of the stated 1:1 and the flow/pressure from the waste water is far higher than the filtered water. The pressure gauge sits roughly around 80psi. I only installed it last week And think I haven’t quite figured everything out yet. Any ideas how to reduce the amount of waste?

How quickly(how many seconds) does the water flow out of the faucet once you push down on the faucet lever?
Asked by: Rafo
it will flow instantly, In order to get fast flow you need external tank minimum of 10 gallons.

what is the largest tank I can add to this system
Asked by: Mike
That depends on your need. The bigger thank the longer it takes to fill it. I do not think there is a realistic limit on tank size. Example on my 10 gallons external tank it take up to 15 minutes to fill it, you can do the math.

is the output water quality the same between this and the ispring ro500? why buy this instead of the ro500?

Asked by: whichoneshouldiget
Hi, The RO500 has a 2:1 pure to waste water ratio and the RCS5T is 1:1 ratio. Both will produce great quality water but the RO500 has a better pure water ratio to waste water ratio and uses less filters to achieve the same results. Thank you, iSpring Water Systems LLC

If I also order an iSpring 3.2 Gal. Metal Pressurized Reverse Osmosis Water Storage Tank with Ball Valve, how many seconds will it take for the water to come out?
Asked by: Rafo
Avery think depends on the distance you want to send the water stream, and the size of the water storage tank. Less Seconds shorter distance and bigger storage tank.

There are a lot of low-star reviews complaining about the flow being very slow. Will this system support the inflow requirements of a typical (15" under-counter, residential) ice-maker?
Asked by: Nicki77356
This particular system is to big for almost any under-counter requirement. Everybody is complaining about the slow flow. Every Osmosis system have very slow flow production, the trick is in the tank size you have for your storage water in order to achieve better inflow. That is why sellers offer different tanks sizes without informing buyers of real need of the correct size of osmosis water storage in order to get the expected pressure and the inflow. Tankless statement is misleading in the sense that you won't get good pressure of running water from it. But is applicable as a tankless if you are whiling to wait... What is the biggest misunderstanding is that people are looking far short time to produce clean water, and forgetting or do not understand how to read the GPD numbers. Good performance can be only achieved with additional expansion tank, the best im my experience is 10 gallon size to get the expected pressure of water and enough supply for your osmosis water. With that in mind you can hookup multiple inflow requirements - icemakers, spout for drinking or cooking water. All depends on your Osmosis water needs! If you are looking just to support of your ice maker as I have stated on beginning - this system is to big for your (home) need but it will support it and will make your water more expensive. Please remember the GPD values in order to support your need...

How to store ro water and how long can it stored for?

Asked by: Km
Hi Km, The RO water can be stored in containers in the refrigerator but the water can not be stored for long periods of time since the water has been stripped of all contaminants and also stripped of the mineral content. If you have any questions please contact our office at 678-261-7611. Thank you, iSpring Water Systems LLC
