iSpring Whole House Water Filter System w/ Sediment, Carbon Block, and Iron & Manganese Reducing Filter

Model # WGB32BM|Store SKU # 1001201103

Overview

Model # WGB32BM Store SKU # 1001201103

The WGB32BM whole house filtration system is an ideal "point of entry" filtration system for cleaning up well water. Unlike "point of use" systems (like reverse osmosis systems) that are installed to supply water to a specific faucet, the WGB32BM filters your water from the source. This means water from every output in your home will have passed through the three filtration stages of the WGB32BM. The stage 1 housing holds a 5-micron sediment filter. This filter removes dirt and other various larger sized particles from the water that can clog the following filters. The second stage houses a 5-micron CTO coconut shell carbon block filter. Block carbon is more effective than other forms of carbon in that it is finely ground up carbon packed into a solidified block. This means they are more effective in removing their targeted contaminants. The carbon block filter knocks out bad tastes and odors, removes up to 99% of chlorine from the water. The third stage has an iron and manganese reducing filter. The FM25B iron and manganese reducing filter is only included with the WGB32BM, as it is not needed for most municipal water supplies that the WGB32B targets.

  1. Protect your family and household appliance from iron, manganese and more; our 3rd stage filter (FM25B) is specially designed for iron and manganese removal, reducing iron (MAX 3.0 ppm down to 0.01 ppm) and manganese (MAX 1.0 ppm down to 0.01 ppm); our filter lasts up to 3 times longer than greensand due to the catalytic media not being consumed in the process; the system also removes sediment, chlorine, rust, pesticides, herbicides, industrial solvents, VOCs and various other contaminants
  1. DIY installation and maintenance - refer to our manual and our helpful YouTube videos for easy DIY installation. With 1 in. NPT inlet / outlet and 20 in. x 4.5 in. filter cartridges, the system has minimum impact on water flow (up to 15 GPM) and requires minimum maintenance
  1. Top-notch quality - the first stage high capacity polypropylene sediment filter achieves filtration down to 5 microns. The second stage Carbon Block filter is made of high quality coconut shell carbon for maximum filtration efficiency and filter life. Both are tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standards. Both filters have a capacity of 100,000 Gal. of water, enough to supply a family of four with clean water for a full year.
  1. Peace of mind customer service - register online to activate your 1-year manufacturer warranty and life-time free tech support from U.S. local support team; we stand behind our products and if you encounter any problems with any of our products please reach out to us immediately; we are happy to help
  1. Please note - this system is installed at the main water supply line in order to treat all the water in your home; unlike an RO system, this system will NOT reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and instead keeps healthy minerals in your water; if you are interested in a filter that removes TDS consider our iSpring Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems. The cartridges are individually wrapped to ensure freshness. Please unwrap the cartridges before use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Customer Service! I purchased this system for a new well. The system worked beautifully, but then I noticed the filters were clogging up very quickly. I contacted customer service, specifically Richard from Ispring. Richard went above and beyond and sent me three new filters at no cost. Richard also recommended that I purchase a spin down filter to add to my system. I have done that, and will be installing the new filters and spin down filter this coming week. This is an excellent system and I recommend it to anyone who has a problem with their well water. Thanks to ispring and Richard for the fantastic customer service!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy customer, Great system We purchased this filter system last year for use at our cottage ( well water ) after phone conversations with Nick regarding which system would best meet our needs. We couldn’t be happier. Our water is now crystal clear and our sinks, showers and toilet are no longer stained orange. We had a pressure reduction problem recently and called for assistance. Nick thought it could be caused by a faulty filter and kindly arranged to ship us a new set. Thank you Nick . We are very impressed with the prompt support from this company that’s stands behind its products. It’s nice to call customer support and speak to a knowledgeable person right away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great System We have a drilled well and always had an issue with high Iron Content, even with a water Softener installed , causing rust stains on sinks, tubs and toilets. After installing this filter system we did a small test. We poured some filtered water in a White plastic container and let it sit for a few days and not a spec of rust settled out of the water. After a few weeks of having the system installed we no longer have an issue with rust. Water smells and tastes great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for filtering well system I have a well water system and the water quality was not that great. After getting it tested I purchased this filter system to improve the water and what a difference it has made. They offer many types of filters so make sure to test your water to ensure you are purchasing the correct ones for your system. Our water was not very hard but the taste was awful due the sulphur content. During install I did over-tighten the filters which caused the gaskets to break. After contacting ISpring support Brian was able to assist me very promptly and send me new gaskets for the filters. Their customer support is awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great system for well water We installed this in January and immediately noticed the water tasted better. We did however still show a higher than acceptable amount of manganese . I called the maker in Georgia to explain the problem, the representative Nick, was very helpful and suggested it could be a faulty filter. Without hesitation, he offered to send a replacement which I’ve now received. I’m confident the problem has been solved, and if not , I’m assured they will work with me until it is. You can’t ask for better service! Thank you Nick, from the west coast of Canada

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Woohoo! Removing the crap from the town water I installed this by myself, very easy to install if you have any plumbing experience. The filters performed exactly as said, ran cold water through it at the nearest tap for about 5 minutes till the black carbon residue quit coming. So far the water is great, however I haven't yet had it analyzed to ensure all the manganese and iron are being filtered out. We had very high iron and managanese in our town water. The softener couldn't remove it all. I installed the filters after the softener. No change in water pressure. Very happy with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get the iron out The system works great! Installation was quite easy although you might find it hard getting 1 inch to three-quarter inch nipples since most shut off valves are either three-quarter or 1/2 inch. Outside of that, we are very pleased with the quality of the water and the ease of installation with no impact on water pressure that we noticed.

Purchased the iSpring WGB32BM 3-Stage Whole House Water Filtration System with 20" Sediment, Carbon Block, and Iron & Manganese Reducing Filter. I still have well water. Should this be installed before or after water softner system

Asked by: leafsnut
Hi leafsnut, The WGB32BM system will work best if installed after the softener, as the softener will help our system to remove the iron and manganese content easier. Thank you, iSpring Water Systems LLC

Just had the system installed and so far I must say the water has noticeably improved - no more red staining in the toilet. However my unit didn’t come with the three red buttons for depressurizing - did that happen to anyone else?

Asked by: NeedMyGarageDoorsToOpen
Hi, The newest versions of the system no longer have the red pressure release buttons anymore. Thank you, iSpring Water Systems LLC

Have hard (calcium) well water with some iron discolouration. How effective is WGB32BM for family of 3? Currently using UV filter + sediment filter but need to improve on odour/disclouration problems. Softener system too expensive for me right now.

Asked by: Inetdaddy
We had discoloration in our water from old street pipes. This system resolved the issue however the system also reduced our water pressure.

Had a quote for larger filters that was astronomical. Will this system affect our water pressure?? We are a family of 5 and was hoping this system would work for us since the alternative is thousands. Thanks

Asked by: Laura
Hi Laura, Normally the water pressure is barely affected but you could experience about a 5 psi reduction per housing. Please contact our office at 678-261-7611 if you have any questions. Thank you, iSpring Water Systems LLC

How long do the filters normally last? I understand the water composition will effect this, but a general range should be discernable.

Asked by: Paul
Hi Paul, If you are within levels for Iron and Manganese contaminants the filters will last for 6 to 12 months. Thank you, iSpring Water Systems LLC

I'm having an issue with nitrates in my well, we also get a little sand (currently use just a sediment filter) . Will this remove nitrates? It's not enough we can taste but it's having a negative effect on my fish tanks. It's either this or a RO unit/tank

Asked by: Terri
I’ve had this filter system in my house now for almost 2 years. We’ve replaced the filters every January. I installed it due to high levels of manganese and it’s 45 grains of hardness. I installed it after water goes through my softener. I’m very pleased with the water after it goes through the filters. As far as nitrates I cannot say for sure as I don’t have that issue. I know when I’ve replaced the filters the sediment filter has a lot of junk in it so obviously working. Will definitely catch any sand coming in. I also installed an under the counter little RO system c/w mini tap at the kitchen sink

I am on well water and had a water softener system which stopped working.I have high iron in water as well, all sinks and toilets are dark brown stained.I was wondering if this 3-stage system will be good replacement or I will need an softener system also?

Asked by: HardWater
I have a well too. I had the same discoloration etc. I purchased the system and it works fantastic. There is tremendous customer support from ispring as well. You will have to replace the sediment filter every two months or so, but I change the other two filters every 6 months. I don't need a softener system at this time. Good luck!

Does it remove well water odour (rotten egg smell)?

Asked by: GoOilers
Hi, If the odor is caused by Nitrate, a chemical contaminant, yes the carbon block filter will remove this odor. Thank you, iSpring Water Systems LLC
