Use this thing daily on a ranch cleaning trucks, tractors, etc. We also use it to wash decks, barns, concrete, etc. This thing is a beast. After a full summer of heavy use and using non filtered water, we did have to replace the valves, which is a normal thing for high psi pressure washers. Ours runs off of a honda engine which are always easy to start. If you aren't use to using a pressure washer, make sure you're holding the trigger down to start it, otherwise you'll just build pressure in the hose and it will eventually get harder to start. This thing beats out our dewalt any day and we are pretty loyal dewalt owners.

Used this last yr to power wash my ranch style house and had problems with its intermittent water pressure. Found out my hose was only putting out 4 gallons of water. Redid my houses water lines to accommodate the power washer so it would put out 6 gallons of water to feed the machine. Proceeded to power wash my house. This year I tried the pressure washer and at 1st it worked while running it wide open for about a minute. Changed the nozzle for siphoning soap and had no problems applying it to a 10' X 20' area. Let the machine idle for 10 minutes for the soap to work. However, when I proceeded in an attempt to wash it off with the pressure nozzle it will not produce any pressure. Checked to be sure that I had closed the 1/4" soap feeder. Checked the water screen in the unit and it is clear. Checked the hose pressure feeding the pump from the house and it is putting out 6 gal per minute. Pull the trigger and get less water pressure at the outlet than what is being fed. This machine has about 2 hrs run time on it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Starts like a champ...first pull ,old gas...sat all winter year after year hook up all the hose and get ready...because if this beast actually starts to come up to preasure you're presurewashing everything non stop, just forget all about the hand cramps from holding that trigger for an hour plus.....because if you do release that handle, the party is over....your3.6 GPM @ 4000 psi turns into a stream something like flypiss and you're done. However, when the presure washing gods are looking down on you with compassion, you may get a second shot at it. When this takes place I'm not sure if I should keep washer or put everything away and go the the casino while my luck is running and that the winnings and buy a new preasure washer....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Investigate before you buy According to Karcher's own independent Distributor, my machine has a known (by most, but not all dealer) design flaw. Namely the unloader valve and "safety plate" are defective or suffer from a design flaw. With very few hours on it, my machine failed. But being out of the 1 yr warranty, the manufacturer would not stand behind it for any labor reimbursement. So even though the parts to repair would seem to be straightforward, even a semi-skilled mechanic will need to return the unit to a certified dealer for repair. With perhaps another 20 hours of use, my machine has failed once again. My suggestion? Either move on to another product, or figure in a minimum of $350-$500 part costs, plus labor, ontop of the intital price to buy a new pump..
