Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do NOT purchase If I could give a negative rating, I would. These are the worst smoke detectors I have ever experienced. We have had nothing but issues since the day they were installed. They go off randomly in the middle of the night - and they ALL go off and we have only been able to shut them off by disconnecting them completely. The hush button does not work. It is the most frustrating, jarring experience at 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5am when they randomly go off and cannot be shut off. We cleaned them all out multiple times and the issue was unresolved. We are now looking to get our money back and warn everyone to NOT buy these!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from false alarms We built a new home and had 7 of these alarms installed as per code. They worked fine for approx 1 year. For the past two weeks we've had false alarms at all times of day/night. We've reset the "alarm memories" of the multiple "initiating units", vacuumed, cleaned etc. They're still giving false alarms. Very frustrated. Will try to get a refund and go with NEST.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Goes off for now reason I bought my house a year ago and it came with 3 of these units freshly installed. They go off in the middle of the night and they are the scariest thing you will experience. You can hush it but sometimes it comes back on. I am not sure why you should spend so much for the discomfort. Terrible product, don't waste your money and don't ruin your nights.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 1 Star only because there is no ZERO Had 4 of these installed in my house following a reno. Living with them has been pure misery. Believe all the lousy reviews you see here. These lousy units LOVE going off in the middle of the night and will trigger any other units (CO2 detectors etc) they are wired to. Avoid at all costs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pure garbage We moved into a new house in less than year. This “product” woke us up twice in the middle of the night FOR NO REAZON. Pure garbage. Stay away from this product. I had another product of Kidde in my house, a CO detector. Operated 18 months and started giving me faulty signals. Simply thru it in the garbage can where it belongs. I would say: stay away from Kidde.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from avoid like the plague Just awful, do not buy. False alarm after false alarm. Last year did a gut job on our house and per regulations had to have a strobe smoke alarm so we got these. Within 12 months we have had 6 false alarms, when they go off you have no idea which one is acting up so are running around like a mad man trying to hush them. No reason for going off, i have Nest alarms located near each one and they never falsely gone off. In the end i just ripped out all 6 and deactivated the batteries. Biggest waste of money ever

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Successive false alarms 10 months insnd this unit is fslse alsrming all the time. Loves to false alarm @ 3am. Using compressed air/vacuum gives you a few more weeks till you get sensory overload

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Yuck! Whether or not this smoke alarm works in a fire, it is obviously faulty. I am in a new home, hard wired alarms throughout. Suddenly, ten months in, all these alarms, started going off, no fire in sight, every 10 minutes until, thanks to You Tube, I figured out how to "disconnect" them. You cannot remove the lithium battery so when there is a problem, you are stuck even when disconnected from a power source. If the "over-ride" button does not work on one, all the other alarms go off as well. Every 10 years the entire unit has to be replaced because of no battery change. Right now, the faulty unit is going off in my garage, buried in bubble pack to muffle the noise and the dogs are hiding! Not impressed.
