Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value for the money After checking all the available vendors and countless C) detectors, this model was the best value for the money. Ordered online and picked up in the store on our next trip. Easy-peasy. CO detectors last about 5 years. Don't take chances.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I bought this a couple of months ago now and I'm really happy with it. It's nice to be able to just plus this into the wall, and if there's ever a power outage, there's a backup battery. Peace of mind.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed in less one year It started beeping in Nov. 2017. The power green light is not on, test button won't work. The date of MFG is 2016 Nov. 05. I bought it early 2017. Over 90 days I am refused to get exchange in the store Markham. This is life saving device, advertising for 10 years lifetime. Think twice to buy this brand if having other choices.

Bought this product 2 months ago. I keep it plugged in at all times. However, since the last week, after every 6-8 hours, it starts beeping every 15 seconds. Then I have to plug it out till it does the same every 6-8 hours. What can I do to rectify?

    Asked by: Chintan
Try changing the battery. Even though it is AC powered, like smoke detectors, it might be telling you that the battery is low or the battery connection is not all that great. Just a thought.

Can I pay online from the US & ship item to canada ?

    Asked by: Anonymous
You cannot use American alarms in Canada as those models do not have CSA or ULC approvals. Using US units is regarded as the same as not having any alarms when it comes to liabilities for your house and insurance. The American site will not ship to Canada. If you order from homedepot.ca, those alarms are shipped from Canada.

height carbon monoxide need to be mounted?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Carbon monoxide weights almost the same as air and it does not sink or float. CO detection is based on overall exposure, not just the presence of it. Small amounts of CO over days is as dangerous as high concentrations in minutes. CO is attracted to heamoglobin 400 times stronger than oxygen is, so it accumulates in the blood, slowly axphysiating those exposed to it. Thus the alarms are programmed to simulate the apsorbtion rate of CO into the human body. Install the alarms where you are most likely to hear it: near your bedrooms, in the living areas. Never in the same room as the furnace, the kitchen or the garage and as remote as you can for other fuel burning appliances.
