No binding agent but cheaper than other productsFills the holes but has no binding agent so it's not much different than basic sand so if you need to use it someplace where water can wash it away, this is not for you. On a flat patio it's fine.

Do not buyTerrible quality unless used in a sandbox for kids. Then it's great. Do not buy this. Spend the extra $10 and buy real jointing sand which hardens and stays in. This is just plain sand and blows away in the wind or can be easily flushed out with a hose. Complete waste of money. Home Depot should be embarrassed for selling this con artist product.

not for interlock stonestried it on interlock stones, to fill the joints, it looks nice but it is not stable, rain pulls it out, you need to broom sand every day, try the leaf blower, it blows all sand out, ants also love it.
The problem is that it doesn't solidfy like polymer.
The photo is after some rain last night.rain washed it out.
If I clean the patio sand will be washed out.

How much bags i need for my patio size 12'×11'×2"
Asked by: Nisha
Mine is 12 x 15 with 24”x24” patio stones and I used 2 bags. Presumably if you have smaller stones, you’ll need more.

how many bags should use for a 8 by 8 ft area brick patio? thanks
Asked by: jackie27
You will require approx 1 or 2 bags. SAKRETE Jointing Sand 25 KG (55 lb) yields approximately 4.6 m² (50 ft²) to 9.3 m² (100 ft²) depending on size of interlocking pavers, stone, bricks and slabs, as well as depth of joint and level of compaction.

Could I use this to temporary lay some slabs securely down for a patio for one year? Then Pull it all up?

Yes you could. I would like to add that King Jointing sand is for between the joints. Limestone screenings is better for use as a base.
King Jointing Sand:
Jointing sand is a graded, washed, flame dried sand with unique granular structure. The irregular shapes of the aggregates provide better stability than silica sand and resists “wash-out”. It fills voids
For filling joints between interlocking pavers, stone, bricks, and slabs.
King Limestone screenings:
Pure limestone screenings passing a 5 mm (3/16”) screen.
Provides an excellent base for leveling interlocking pavers and patio slabs. Prevents growth of weeds and establishment of ant colonies between bricks.
