Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be very careful with your measurements We have this type of refrig, counter depth, little older model with the handles. The problem is that when installing, there is a plastic spacer spine down the back that keeps the refrig an inch from the back wall rendering it NOT counter depth. Thus, the depth shown on the rendering may not be accurate and you need to check this out. It said not to remove the spine as it is needed for air flow. We are so disappointed as our custom kitchen, where every inch was important, has this refrig that sticks out beyond the cabinetry! BTW, we were careful and got another brand of refrig for our 2nd home and it had air circulation built in and went flush to the back wall and looks great. This will always bother me to see it stick out!! BTW, the kitchen designer had the specifications.

No water filter for ice so added my own to protect the internal plumbing and one shelf can not be removed without the doors being removed. I do not need to remove it for cleaning or need to adjust that shelf but seems to be one design flaw. The controls are easy to find but need YouTube to find how to control temp. Default settings do work however.

It really has a sleek modern look to it and it almost looks like a built in fridge. This model does not have a water dispenser and thats what we were looking for as I have a separate water unit. The stainless fingerprint proof finish really works well. There are 3 pull out drawers that have a woodgrain finish that really make the interior stand out. Overall a beautiful and very functional design. Bottom has 2 separate freezers that you could have 2 different temperature settings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice, Some serious issues [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this refrigerator, because it looks nice and it's a KitchenAid. But there are some major design flaws that I just can't get over. The most glaring issue is that the actual usable space is only 13 cubic feet! Yes, that's right, 13 cu ft. It's listed as 19+ cu ft. Other issues: The doors only open about 135 degrees, which causes several problems. First, you can't remove fridge bottom shelf! That means there is NO shelf adjustment, period. What you get, is what you get (see photo for ugly solution). This is a bummer, because the lower shelf actually has two levels, and KitchenAid chose to mount it in the least desireable level. The shelves in fridge are flat pieces of glass, and have no lip, so they don't capture liquids. Any drips, spills, leaky bottles - you'll have a big mess on your hands. Freezer drawers require doors to be FULLY open. If you only open them 90 degrees, which is pretty normal, the drawers will hit the sealing strips and knock them off. It happens a lot, it's super annoying. The sides get hot. Like SUPER hot, 137 degrees hot. Enough to burn you hands. Water input uses a non-standard 1/4 compression fitting. There are almost no adapters on the market, however I found that John Guest does have an adapter, "Acetal Gray Faucet Connector" for both 1/4 and 3/8 tubing. The interior is dim. They should have stuck with white, which reflects light much better. The open-door alarm is cute, but faint. I can barely hear it across the kitchen. Compare that to my other fridge alarms which I can hear all the way from the back bedrooms. The timer is about 3 minutes, so it's not like you will be standing next to the fridge when the alarm goes off. Now, there are some redeeming features. Being "counter depth," this gives better front-back clearance in all situations. With no handles sticking out, even more clearance. The drawers use o-ring style rollers; not only are they smooth, but the o-rings can be easily replaced if they wear out. Drawer knobs are actual metal, solid zinc. The "open shelf" design is efficient. It is easier to arrange things on two big shelves as opposed to several small ones. It's much more quiet than any other fridge I own. I can barely hear it. Ice production speed is good, it quickly fills up the bin overnight. The system is designed such that you can substitue a stainless steel bin, if (like me) you avoid plastic. Refrigerant is R600a, or isobutane, which is environmentally friendly. Performance is very good, it cools quickly and maintains temperature well. I've noticed that this fridge has less "gurgles" and "pops" from the compressor than a normal refrigerator. The drawers are polystyrene. The "wood grain" parts are ABS with Hydrographics. Unfortunately this scratches off easily. The metal looking trim on the glass shelves is actually plastic, and again the chrome plating peels and flakes off. It's made in China. There were some quality control issues, such as incorrectly installed drawer knobs, loose screws on the back, and foam insulation sticking out of crevices. I'm on the fence as to whether I would recommend this, considering the cost. For the price, it should give you exactly the rated space, and there should be no quality control or major design issues. It does look nice though, and it does perform well.

My wife and I both love it, but it's just the 2 of us now that our kids have grown. I can see where a family of 4 or more may need more room, but we love the aesthetic inside features and the sleek outside as well. Its plenty large enough for the 2 of us. We are very happy.

It has clean lines, flush handles and is very modern looking, from the PrintShield finish to the wood accent trim and chrome knobs, we’re extremely happy. We’ve always owned side by side refrigerator freezers for many years but we finally tried something new and exciting. We enjoy how it’s sectioned into four separate areas and have the option of changing freezer zones. The control panel is very user friendly and easy to operate. The few issue’s or complaint’s I experienced are the tight clearance to remove the lower glass shelf and that the drawers do not fully open, which makes you maneuver your foods a certain way in order to store them or remove them. The drawers stop short by 7” from being fully extended. Additionally, I found that the glass shelves don’t have a perimeter lip on the ends to contain any spilled liquids. Not that this is a huge issue but I’ve had them before and they definitely save the liquids from spilling beyond the shelf. Overall we are pleased but do wish the drawers would fully open.

What is the height of the refrigerator? It says both 71" and 78", so I am confused: "Height to Top of Door Hinge (in.) 78 in Height to Top of Refrigerator (in.) 78 in Product Height (in.) 71 in"

What is the actual depth with the door open 90 degrees? 58" is too long. I think there was a typo. The depth is 24. The width is 36". So shouldn't the depth with the doors open 90 degrees be 42"? (24" + 18")
