Apparently, all of us who purchased this refrigerator are not very smart because we expected this to sit flush with our expensive built-in cabinets. The ad refers to it as counter depth and integrated. No way is this integrated, it sticks out like a sore thumb! From all of the reviews that I've read, KitchenAid has disappointed many faithful customers. This is my third KitchenAid kitchen and it will be my last. KitchenAid has done nothing but give lame apologies, nothing to really accept any blame or give any sort of consideration Shame on you KitchenAid!! Very, very misleading product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor performance all around I have had this fridge for 4 years and it was my first kitchenaid purchase... the issues have been not stop starting with fruit and vegetables getting ice frozen in the refrigerator - settings are always at recommended levels or higher but nothing works. our food spoils earlier as a result of this and the grocery bill has been awful. We have had kitchenaid twice come in and fix the sidings to the freezer and french doors. The inside water flow has gotten worse over time. Not to mention the shelves and gap in the back for food to fall over. Finally the external doors - dont even think of putting fridge magnets on there - scratches easily.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total Waste of Money I originally bought this appliance in white, and if it lasts 10 years, I will be amazed. Plastic drawers cracked within the first year and replacement was not under warranty. Ice maker leaks and ice freezes into solid block, and not cannot be used. Seals on doors have all gone and doors do not close properly. Food items such as milk and cream on the top shelf near the walls of the appliance now freeze. Most disturbing of all is that the interior of the fridge is rusting because the coating on the doors have worn it off with regular use. This appliance is a total waste of money. The only positive thing I can comment about is that the motor on the fridge is still running.

We just had the cabinet doors put on,and it looks awesome. This is the first cabinet ready appliance we have purchased. It is annoying that they cost more than the ones with doors and handles,it does not make sense to me. The fridge it self has been good, the pull out freezer drawer is not as sturdy as the built in option we looked at. If I got the opportinity to do it all over again, I think I would have considered the built in option more serioulsy. I am very happy with how it looks, but I think the built in models are just better quality.

The finish lives up to expectations with no finger prints or smudges to constantly wipe away. The water filter tap is super handy and has encouraged us to drink more (added health bonus!) and the double width fresh produce drawer Is definitely a plus! If I had to find any fault it is either the ice drawer...when attached to the front for easier access this blocks the lower compartment a fair bit so accessible to that can be compromised....really not a big deal! We love how well it goes with our decor..win, win for us!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design I have some real problems with this fridge. Let me start with the gray depths. They do not extend right to the back wall, there is a significant gap, not only giving you less fridge space but also allowing items to fall through. I also have a problem with the door closure design. There is this moveable narrow strip along the length of the door that does not go into place properly. I am constantly having to move it forward so that the door will seal correctly. It is also very difficult to remove and replace the bins for washing. And finally, it has cold spots likely due to the door improperly sealing. Very disappointed in this fridge.

Especially impressed with the interior design that has increased storage capacity from previous 30 inch refrigerators and provided thoughtful storage options. The newer features , including interior filtered water dispenser and built-in icemaker as well as filters for food freshness have proved to be quite beneficial. In terms of overall appearance (exterior) and presentation, we believe that all the door/drawer handles would look much better in black tone rather than chrome. The chrome detracts somewhat from its sleek black look.

I sell appliances and I have been selling this model for 5 plus years straight even when it had the curved Architect series handle. In that time frame I have had one issue which was a sealing issue on the bottom freezer and that was taken care of with ease. This is an industry where problems arise people. Do you expect to buy a car and never have any issues? The only negative thing I have to say about this refrigerator is the black frame makes it hard to design around white cabinets or lighter cabinets in general. Otherwise keep up the great work KitchenAid!!
