I was very disappointed that even at the highest setting it did not have enough power to cream butter and sugar with the speed or smoothness of my old inexpensive mixer. I actually had to dig my old one out of the basement to finish the job of making whipped shortbread cookies. It will whip egg whites and cream but you have to "help it" by keeping it constantly moving to incorporate air. It is light and quiet but that is the only positive thing I can say about this mixer. I received a KitchenAid stand mixer for Christmas which I hope will work better than this one.

Anything from homemade whipped cream, waffle batter, to thick brownie batter...this mixer makes it so easy without any mess or fuss. It’s much quieter than my old mixer, fits perfectly into my hand, isn’t so light that the beaters throw it around but isn’t heavy enough to complain about it while I am using it. I couldn’t believe that it cut right through a triple batch of my homemade, extra thick chocolate avocado pudding. My last mixer wouldn’t even come close! It wipes up easily and the beaters fit perfectly into my dishwasher. Love it!!

I think my favourite part is the newer style of paddles. With them being more "wire" like, I find wayyyyyy less product gets lost to the paddles. This being said, my boys feel jipped when I give them each one to lick, they say there is not as much as there used to be. Lol. I also feel this is an improvement because they will dry faster without collecting water in weird spots, potentially leading to rust. All in all, this is a great little mixer, that I expect will be with my family for years and years to come! Thanks kitchenaid!

The reason why I can’t give it more is that I tried to beat an egg, and it would not beat into a froth, nor, would it cream, my sugars, and butters together as well as my mixer that included another beater for that purpose. I wish when purchasing this mixer, there was 1 more beater included. I also wish it had a holder so the beaters and mixer were together. The mixer itself is very nice looking and easy to operate. It is sturdy and will do many tasks but the sugar snd butter blend took way to long.

I'm giving it two stars, instead of zero, because the attachments are sturdy when inserted, and it turns on. Beyond that, it really isn't a great product. For much beyond whipping cream, the unit does not have enough power to work against any resistance. For example, I made banana bread yesterday (which is typically a thinner batter) and they would barely turn, even on the highest setting. This is the first Kitchenaid appliance I would not recommend.

I bought this to replace a cuisinart hand mixer because the whisks bent and it wasn’t worth ordering the replacement pieces. This hand mixer has been great - I didn’t think it mixed very fast at its highest speed, but I don’t mind, because it is effective and pretty quiet. The best part is that I don’t need to use a splash guard with this, as the meringue powder/icing I mostly use this for doesn’t splatter at all like it did with my previous hand mixer. Also, the colour is fun (minty green).

My 5 speed hand mixer whips anything into creaminess, my countertop oven is nothing short of amazing cooks my wings to perfection, my (big boy) 4.5 mixer is the best mix for my cookies and cheese cake, my immersion blender makes my soups nice and creamy, and my blender , chops my cheese and onions, for those pizza nights. I have never been so happy with 1 product. Believe me I have tried many different products but always go back to KitchenAid.You feel the quality when you use it, no lie. I will have these products till the day I die. Thank you for making great products.
