Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not meet expectations We have had this for at least 2 years and it is completely disappointing. Absolutely no temperature control for the top it's like everything is hot or hotter. Owned 2 glass top ovens prior to this and never had this problem. The main mother board has been replaced at least twice. Rust spots appearing in the stainless.Location of the controls on top is a constant source of aggravation. Self cleaning feature is not very useful. My expectations for the price and of Kitchen Aid products was much higher than this as in the past I have been happy with the products purchased. Will be replacing this oven soon and switching to gas but probably not this brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks better than it works The range looks great and that's what sold it for us. Once it was home, however, our excitement soon faded. The stove top gets too hot for most uses, other than for boiling water. To cook basically anything, you need to use the absolute lowest possible setting or your food will burn. On the contrary, the oven takes forever to heat up, often requiring 20 mins to reach 375 degrees and then will run for another 45 mins after your cooking is done to cool down, with the fan inside the oven running the entire time. What a waste of electricity. This was our first Kitchenaid range and it will be our last. Too bad, really, because it does look really good. If only it worked as well as it looks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good function but scratches too easily (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It's a big oven so it takes a long time to heat up. Our solution is to broil for 5-10 minutes and then set the oven, which decreases the time needed significantly. The warming drawer temperature is lower than stated. Used it twice and didn't get hot enough. The top - the frame containing the controls is set above the cooking surface, and got scratched on day one, and keeps getting scratched. Also, the lip between that raised frame and the stovetop is hard to clean without scratching Also, the rubbery seal is coming up in one spot. The stovetop is a bit challenging to keep clean, being ceramic.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I purchased this product and after only 24 days in my house it stopped working. An error code came up indicating the cooling fan was set incorrectly and it would not turn on. It was very easy to get ahold of KitchenAid but they made an appointment from 9-5 when the service person would come out and fix the problem. He called and said he would order the part and it would be 3-7 business days. It has been 14 days since I made that call. I would not purchase this range again, in fact I will not purchase from Kitchen Aid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love my stove (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love the stove--for the first time my husband is able to cook his steel cut oats without burning! A true "simmer" means he no longer babysits them and stirs constantly. I just did a big turkey dinner and found the warming drawer a big help. One thing though, that aqua clean isn't so great. I've been trying to clean off one spot all evening. 5 times I've run the program. Still have black cooked in. I suggest some sort of bottom tray that would fit in and could be removed for cleaning. Or replaced if it gets soiled to the point of no return. I'll be tempted to tinfoil next time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing! Too much money for bad design! I bought this range two and a half years ago and am very disappointed by its overall performance! Cooktop elements are heating up very slowly. The three in one burner on the left front is absolutely useless except for heating up. The simmer mode is much too hot even on the lowest level and will burn everything if not watched very closely. I keep turning it on and off on the lowest setting to prevent food from burning! Very annoying! The oven is heating up very, very slowly. The back cooktops are really far back. I am 5'7"and it is hard to stir food on those back elements. The control panel is not in a good location. It would be better to have it on the side. Just my two cents of advice!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It’s beautiful! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love the look of the range, sleek and beautiful! I had to get used to an electric stove again as my previous was gas. Switched for safety reasons as my husband has dementia. A bit noisy preheating, but the service person fixed it quickly (some delay due to Covid19). A fan was loose, but it didn’t affect functionality and now it’s great. I’m not sure how the baking drawer is intended to be used, so I tried baking muffins in it and found the back baked hotter and the front half was underdone. I love the easy slide out rack in the oven, and the top element with multiple size heating. Overall it’s great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Help me Kitchen aid We renovated our kitchen in 2015 with mostly Kitchen Aid Appliances: Two ovens, Microwave and hood vent. All items except the YKSEB900ESS (30" Convection slide in range) have been great. The first two minths while cooking my wife dropped a pot and busted the glass. After about 1.5 years the cooling fan in the back went and the oven was inoperatable until we paid money to get it fixed. Now in 2019 the oven wont heat past about 150 F and one of the burners isnt performing like it use to. Fortunately we also have a non convection Kitchen Aid built in oven that has been great. Please save my marriage Kitchen Aid. Steve

Does this have downdraft venting?

Asked by: Will
Hello, Will. That is a very good question. Actually this model is not compatible with downdraft ventilation but only with under cabinet/wall mount/island mount hoods, and pro style ventilation and liners. Have a good one! -Whirlpool Central Advisors

How long does the convection oven fan stay on after the oven is turned off?

Asked by: Keeper of the light
Hi There, The fan would run as long as the oven cavity is cooled sufficiently to avoid any damage to the appliance electronic controls. How long the fan runs is dependent on the selected temperature setting of the oven. If you have further concerns you contact Customer Experience Center at 1-800-807-6777 and they will be happy to help. Thanks for your question, Whirpool Central Advisors.

Can you please confirm if this stove fits into the standard 30 inch opening and has pushed back to the wall? Or does it require a piece of counter top behind it?

Asked by: Robyn S
