Have been making fresh pasta for years with kitchenaid attachment rollers with no issues and excellent product produced After trying dozens of varied recipes for press with various flours we gave up and returned unit For now we will stick with Kitchenaid roller attachments for our fresh pasta with hopes they come out with additional roller attatchments. We are pasta lovers and the roller attatchments have offered to expand our food recipes but the press was disappointing and just did not deliver as advertised

Love my lift mixer which I have regularly used throughout the last ten plus years but went to use my slicer attachment yesterday and saw plastic housing was cracked in several locations where the shaft goes into the housing . Then looked at the grinder and was also cracked in similar location. Only had used a few times each and was looking forward to using more now that I have more time. Stored properly and in closed kitchen cabinet in a controlled environment ( ie heated and AC) so never should have cracked. So of course all my other attachments are now useless too. See photos.

Cons: - Poor design, very close to mixer, so you can't place a plate under this attachment. - Poor design, very close to mixer, your hand can hit the rotating shaft when using wire cutter. - Poor design, if your dough is loose pasta sticks together, if it is hard you should you use the pusher as the auger doesn't work well. - Extremely slow so your mixer (if even strong enough) should work for very long time and this makes extremely hot. - Extremely hard to clean, took me 10+ minutes to clean it. - No storage container was inside the box to store the 6 plates. - No shipping box, delivered in original box, damaged at the corner. Overall it was a nightmare pasta making night with this product!!!

I have wanted this attachment for such a long time, I was beyond excited when I finally received it in the mail. The recipe was easy, the attachment was very easy to figure out, and the whole process was fun and exciting. It does make very tasty pasta. I will continue to use this over and over again. My only complaint so far is trying to clean the dough out of those pasta discs. Those little wholes are not easy to clean out. Even with that problem, I still love this attachment and would buy it any day. Highly recommended for the pasta loving families like mine!

I have had my mixer of over 20 years and other than the bowl being too small for some recipes (bread) I am thrilled. I cannot say the same for the grinder or slicer. The mixer was a gift and I also received the attachments, but never used them. One of my family members has developed health problems and is now on a low calorie, low sugar and low sodium diet. As a result I have to make everything. Last night I got the grinder out of the box to make sausage and was very disappointed to see that the case was cracked, I checked the slicer and it is cracked too. Cannot afford to replace them, so I am stuck with them until they break.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great! Not even good! Very disappointed I received my pasta press today, total waste of money. I have made pasta many times. The fusilli pasta did not curl. The rigatoni was very thick when it came through. When cooked it was even thicker. Very disappointed with this and it came with a very high price. The only good thing was I had fun with my grandchildren. Don't bother with this product.
