Have been making fresh pasta for years with kitchenaid attachment rollers with no issues and excellent product produced After trying dozens of varied recipes for press with various flours we gave up and returned unit For now we will stick with Kitchenaid roller attachments for our fresh pasta with hopes they come out with additional roller attatchments. We are pasta lovers and the roller attatchments have offered to expand our food recipes but the press was disappointing and just did not deliver as advertised

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shrapnel Anyone! I received this pasta maker as a Christmas gift last year. We have used it 3 times, the first 2 uses were great and we had great pasta. Last evening we were making spaghetti when our pasta attachment suddenly cracked and exploded. Pieces went flying across the kitchen like an IED had gone off. We were using the recommended kitchen aid pasta recipe as well as the instructions provided with the pasta attachment. 3 members of my family were gathered around the mixer watching the pasta come out, including our 7 year old, when the device exploded. I love the stand mixer I have but would not recommend this pasta attachment to anyone as it's hazardous to your health and wellbeing. An absolute disappointment!

Cons: - Poor design, very close to mixer, so you can't place a plate under this attachment. - Poor design, very close to mixer, your hand can hit the rotating shaft when using wire cutter. - Poor design, if your dough is loose pasta sticks together, if it is hard you should you use the pusher as the auger doesn't work well. - Extremely slow so your mixer (if even strong enough) should work for very long time and this makes extremely hot. - Extremely hard to clean, took me 10+ minutes to clean it. - No storage container was inside the box to store the 6 plates. - No shipping box, delivered in original box, damaged at the corner. Overall it was a nightmare pasta making night with this product!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great! Not even good! Very disappointed I received my pasta press today, total waste of money. I have made pasta many times. The fusilli pasta did not curl. The rigatoni was very thick when it came through. When cooked it was even thicker. Very disappointed with this and it came with a very high price. The only good thing was I had fun with my grandchildren. Don't bother with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!! Just tried my new pasta attachment for the first time this morning and I am thrilled! I was a bit anxious after reading some of the negative comments but i loved it it worked really well and was much easier to use than I thought. I made some delicious rotini and I can’t wait to use it again! It is a bit long to clean especially since I had tried a few different shape. You only have to make sure your dough isn’t too sticky so you can’t just stick to the recipe, you have to go with the feel of the dough.

I got this for Christmas and wanted to make macaroni so I used the recipe in the book and used the large macaroni disc and it worked beautifully! The macaroni was delicious, the press did what it was supposed to, the instructions were excellent and it was easy to clean. I am looking forward to using the other discs.
