Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked GREAT! Worked like a hole saw. Being big, when it grabbed it just about took your arm off, had to go slow. And with any hole saw, getting the biscuit out was not easy. I was very happy that my local (30 miles) Home Depot had them in stock, no other place had them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No good on metal Bought this for cutting holes in 29ga sheet metal. Cut about 4 holes and then went dull. Still works on wood but it didnt meet my expectations. The workmanship was also poor quality. The bit from the first was out of balance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit expensive, but you pay for quality I purchased the Klein 6-3/8" hole saw from a local Home Depot. We were installing can lights, and I needed a good quality toothed hole saw to cut through a plywood ceiling on an older Gunnison home. This one does the trick as opposed to the carbide tip non toothed units which are typically designed to cut through drywall. For the extra $15.00 I had to spend to get the toothed version, I feel as though this is a better quality unit that will last longer than its less expensive brother. I was a bit surprised to see that only one Home Depot in the Indianapolis area had this tool in stock. Being such a common size for can light installs, all stores should have at least a few of them on their shelf at all times.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from limited cut depth and not good for wood This hole saw is good for wall or floor tile with its carbide grit edge and OK for sheetrock. In theory it would be good for plaster but the reality is that plaster is 7/8" or thicker and there is wood or metal lath that also must be cut and this hole saw is not deep enough. Also very hard to find a recessed can light that will fit into a cutout that is exactly 6 inches in diameter. The old 4 can sizes of 4-3/8, 6-3/8, 6-5/8, 6-7/8 with tungsten lamps no longer works with all the par, CFL, and LED light cans. Worse still is that you cannot tell before you open the box and look for the paper cutting template what size hole is needed for the recessed light can. There is also a lot of gypsum dust generated from a hole saw like this that is spun all over the room and into the operators eyes, ears, mouth, and other body parts. If you have a tongue and groove or wood paneling for a ceiling this hole saw is going to make a very ragged hole. Much better to buy a quality adjustable hole cutter so you can make the exact size hole and have both cutting depth and dust control. If you are only doing one or two holes better to use a hand saw. For lots of holes a hole pro hole cutter is a much better and much cleaner and much faster solution.
