Klein logo laser etched into blade and stamped on belt clip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Klein 3.5" Electricians Pocket Knife has a unique feature that maybe an electrician might use...a top blade notched for stripping insulation from 12-14 AWG wires. The feature works okay, but my Klein wire stripping pliers cut quicker and cleaner when prepping for connections! I would have thought the handle material would have been made of a lighter polymer material that provided some insulation resistance. However the aluminum housing cover is very durable, the blade is very sharp and the build is very solid!

It opens easily and while a bit tight at first, the liner lock becomes easy to push after only a few uses. It stays closed when it needs to, so I don't have to worry about it coming open in my pocket. The stripping notches aren't the best way to strip wires, but they'll do in a pinch. Overall very nice knife, I use it every day for all sorts of tasks. Definitely one of my favorites, and you can't beat the price. Highly recommended.

I'm not an electrician, but I've already found a number of uses for it around our ranch, including a bit of electrical work. It strips those wires really nicely. I've also used it for cutting hay twine, opening bags, sharpening a wood stake, and even shaving of a bit of wood for a barn door that was stuck. It's a great all-around knife.

I bought this knife on a whim because my last knife was a cheap piece of junk. This knife far exceeded my expectations as far as overall materials, and is equipped with a nice, substantial belt clip. The paint is a really cool color with a flat finish as well. If you are particular like me, you'll likely need to sharpen it a little to give it that razor's edge, but overall darn good for the price.

I shopped all the local sporting goods stores for a EDC and found cheap over priced hardware from overseas. I knew already Klien makes great American tools. I went to their tool section in Home Depot and grabbed this knife. The blade fly's open on command. Nice. No need re-sharpen the knife unless you plan on sharping every day. The blade is ground to hold an edge. The last thing. The belt clip is upside down and in a weird position when released from your belt.
