If you are removing a 33 x 22 sink, this sink will be TOO SMALL for the opening. It is only 33 x 22 at THE WIDEST parts of the sink, but the corners taper in, leaving a 1/2 inch gap. We didn’t discover this until our plumbers had removed our old Koehler sink, fitted out all the hardware onto this sink and then lifted this incredibly heavy sink and tried to place it into the countertop opening, only to discover it is not actually a 33x 22 sink. If you are using this sink for new construction, perfect. If not, choose another sink. As for this sink, it is going back to Home Depot tomorrow.

Put a protection mat at the bottom and we have been very careful about sitting dishes in the sink. Pull my mat up to clean and there is a huge crack and chips along the bottom!!! Something that would make you think something was thrown inside the sink which I know did not happen. Checked my mugs, and everything else was plastic so...I am so upset, my kitchen remodel was finally done and I was so excited to to everything come together and the sink looked fantastic. Now I have to deal with this...

When the installers had things ready for the Cape Dory to drop in, it was discovered that due to the design of the sink that there was a gap at each corner due to rounded corners not squared.

However, the way the sink is curved in on the edges did not fit into the existing 22x33 inch opening. There were big gaps on each corner. I was so disappointed. Needless to say I had to return the sink. I would highly recommend the sink but if your replacing another sink, beware that the typical 22x33 inch opening may not be the correct shape.

Dory is nice but the advertised dimensions are INACCURATE as a replacement for the same size … the existing 33x22 sink cut out too large for your sink..... costly for a plumber to remove old....find out your sink Kohler 33x22 TOO SMALL...replaced old one.....your customer service did offer condolences...I paid the plumber! We have yet to replace our old one due to vacation...shopping this week.
