Where is the flush valve?

I am happy to assist you with your urinal question. I apologize you were unable to find the information you were looking for. The Dexter urinal, model 5016-ER-7 will have an in wall flush valve that will typically include a sensor or flush activator installed into the wall above the urinal. Kohler does not manufacture any in wall flush valves and we recommend working with your local Home Depot to select the correct Sloan flush valve product. Please work with your local Home Depot for pricing and availability on this product. Thank you for choosing the Bold Look of KOHLER."

Can this urinal be used waterless, without a flushing mechinisum?

It comes up on a waterless search, but it doesn't say waterless in the description. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Carol with KOHLER Customer Service. I am happy to assist you with your Urinal question. Model 5016-ER-0 is a rear flush urinal. This will require a rear flush valve which will have to be purchased separately, however Kohler does not offer one. If you are looking for the same urinal with the top stud included please refer to model number 5016-ET .This has a ¾” top spud. You will also need to purchase a flushometer. For additional assistance on this inquiry, please contact our Customer Care Center at 1-800-4KOHLER. What is the difference between a rear spud and a top spud on a urinal?

Do they both flush with a handle on top? I want to install a urinal in the basement on an interior wall if that matters. Both urinals are the same price so what is the difference?

Thank you for your inquiry. There is no difference to the urinal, other than the location of the spud. You will need to determine where you will supply the water from, either the back or top. This will help determine which urinal to order.
