Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing My first duostrainer basket lasted 6 years. Ordered a replacement in March and it broke in May. Reached out to customer service and they sent me a new one. It lasted less than a month. The problem is the ring that is supposed to be welded to the basket comes off making it difficult to choose to set it to open or closed. It seems like a decent product, has a nice weight to it but it doesn't last. 6 years for the first one, acceptable, but the last two point to an obvious flaw in the manufacturing process. I've given up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustration I am having the same problems as many other customers with the strainer basket when reading their reviews!! I am now on my 2nd strainer basket in 3 years! Actually the first one came apart about a year after being installed and I fooled around with it re-screwing/tightening, even gorilla glueing it back together!! I finally got sick of fighting it and bought a new basket hoping that mine maybe just had a flaw..... Lo and behold same thing has happened after about 2 months use! Obviously poorly designed! Now what do I do, I don't think any other basket strainer would fit in drain!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Continuous issues with this strainer! This will be the third time I am replacing this strainer since original mid 2019 purchase. The disk on the underside of the basket that connects to the plunger arm/knob keeps coming apart form the arm and unscrewing. This piece is fixed to the arm when I receive it, but after a few months of use ultimately comes loose and unscrews with use. Seems like the soldering is poorly done or can't uphold to the conditions it is used in. Once this happens, it then is difficult to position the plunger properly so that it can open/close the drain. I don't know what the design or craftsmanship flaw is, but it's extremely annoying. I have explained the issue each time I call Kohler to have it replaced, however noone can explain or offer any different item. Because it is fitted to the sink, it's the only option. Am I stuck reordering this strainer basket every few months for life??

After utilizing the drain plug for several month including an avid canning season, I’m greatly amused with its’ elegant looks and price. Go ahead buy the plug if you want to stand out with those who judge you by your sink plugs. This extravagant piece of manufactured metal and rubber will oddly satisfy you and then frustrate you as you search for the pieces in your refuse. Kohler, please connect the screw at the top of the stem with a permanent connection or a screw with a seal to prevent it from coming apart. I’m an avid chef and can most of my produce. It is a beautiful plug, but it needs some work.

Now on my 3rd or 4th basket replacement because the stopper keeps breaking. Not only that, but it doesn't sit right in the Kohler drain it complements so there's always an issue of a slow drain and it frequently dropping in and sealing the drain. I don't care for it at all.

Why is this srainer basket 58.00 when you get the whole kit for less ,, this does not make sense
