He had this toilet seat and the moment I sat down I went WHOA! It was SO COMFORTABLE! I had never even thought about the contour of a toilet seat for comfort. I can definitely say: This is rhe most comfortable toilet seat EVER! Guests that come to my house now ask about my seat because almost everyone else notices it too. I know it is an expensive seat but it is worth every penny in my opinion. That is why I have them on all four of the toilets in my house. I don't think you will be disappointed with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product The installation was a breeze, as long as you take off the white cover to the screw and the black insert BEFORE you install the seat. Make sure the plus sign on the black piece is facing you, place it over the bolt holes on the toilet, and then screw in the bolt. Afterwards, snap on the toilet seat to the black plastic piece, then snap on the white bolt cover, and the installation is finished. I had no problems with movement with the toilet seat after it was installed. The rubber bumpers keep the seat firmly in place (as long as the white covers are installed, because they are what keeps the seat from snapping off the hinge). The quiet-close action works like a dream and my husband loves the shape of the toilet. One more unexpected benefit: a plastic seat is not as cold as a wood one, a definite advantage in the winter.

Not only do I no longer hear the slam of the seat on a Sat. morning when the boys get up earlier than they should, it is quick and easy to clean when they don't turn on the light and aim appropriately. Well worth the extra expense compared to a standard painted wooden seat. It took only 5 minutes to install, which was quicker than the time it took to remove the old seat! The French Curve design is classic and looks perfect with our modern look toilets.

Kohler’s customer service team helped with recommendations including the toilet seat anchor kit which was absolutely required to achieve the proper fit. Video’s on YouTube from Kohler we’re incredibly helpful as well.

Unlike older versions of this same seat that I own, this unit has excessive play in the seat and cover hing. This make it prone to slipping on the toilet rim when in use. Older units did not do this. For the price charged for this item there should be no problems like this with its build quality or design

But be aware that this has a new fangled easy on , easy off type of mechanism. My husband thinks that if we do in fact use it, the seat will break very quickly. I personally do not intend to use it unless there is a total mishap......... For people who have a one piece Kohler toilet----------you may not know what you are in for when you replace a toilet seat. We found there are no NUTS underneath the toilet.............huh? The one piece Kohler toilets are designed with inserts for the screws for toilet seats. If you are unlucky and can't get your old seat off, you have to drill out the screws. It is not for the faint of heart. Good luck.

Any way the toilet seat does not stay where it was installed. The plastic screw/wedge does not hold on one side. It might have been fine if the hardware were of better quality.

Will this seat work with the Kohler Memoirs Elongated with Aquapistion and concealed trap. The Cachet toilet seat is uncomfortable for my husband. The Memoirs bowl is very wide, and the Cachet seat has a wide opening with narrow sides. Please recommend a more comfortable, quiet close seat for the Memoirs. Thanks!

It looks great. The only issue I have with the seat is that when you raise both the seat and the lid they do not stay on their own. You have balance them when they are perpendicular to the toilet rim so that they remain in place.
