Rated 1 out of 5 by from Seat Finish Deteriorated The surface where you sit on my Glenbury Quiet Close toilet seat has become cracked and rough. The attached photo show the cracking. I also noticed the same on another one of your seats at my doctor's office. What is going on? This seat is a replacement of one of two Triko model seatsI bought when my house was built. That previous seat always shifted when used--that is why I replaced it. The other Triko does the same and recently one of the pins that anchor the piece that hides the seat screw does not stay put. What recourse do I have? Can you replace the Glenbury with a better quality seat? Also, I am afraid to sit on the seat when closed because it gives and could crack. I am not overweight.

I bought this white Kohler Glenbury Elongated slow closed toilet seat to go with my Kohler Memoirs Classic elongated comfort height toilet. I must say that Kohler makes well made products and this is another to prove it. I like how i don't have to worry when i have children over that the seat is going to slam shut. The seat has a nice slow close to it, and when sitting on it: the seat doesn't move around on you with the two rubber tabs on the inside . It is constructed of all plastic and is easy to wipe clean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid Kohler Q3 Technology I’ve rated the Kohler's Q3 toilet seat one star for one major reason; there was no option to assign this product zero stars. This Kohler Q3 technology, and this toilet seat in particular, is an overpriced piece of trash. Two parts broke in less than one month and it is impossible to keep this seat firmly affixed to the toilet. Two of the three design “Q”s do work well. It is easy to install and the seat and cover do close quietly but the third “Q”, the quick release, works too well. The seat releases from the mounting so easily that the slightest movement while seated on it will likely result in you quickly sitting on the floor. Perhaps that the 4the “Q” Kohler has planned; quickly on the floor. Kohler’s usually good reputation is jeopardized by the poor design and disappointing production quality of this toilet seat.

Clearly a manufacturing defect since most of this edge is smooth. I would return it but I don't want the hassle. Disappointed in this Kohler product.
