Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE the chair height. Amazing how 2 inches makes... LOVE the chair height. Amazing how 2 inches makes such a big difference. I selected this particular model because of its side flush handle. A BioBidet seat was installed and the lid is quite large so the side handle made flushing easier. I selected Kohler because the installing plumber prefers that brand and he suggested buying a bit more expensive one to avoid any problems.

Bought this model almost three years ago and have continually had problems with the valves. Also noticed that the tank requires three bolts to secure so generic valve kits don't work. Does buying overpriced Kohler valve kits fix this?

The toilet seat has broken at the hinge. Is this covered by the warranty?

A quality Soft Close seat may be your best long term option,  as the included seat is not very strong.

Does this toilet have the aqua piston technology? Can you tell me how can we make sure about this AquaPiston Tech?

I do not think it has that, it does however use a newer type of float and flapper valve which seems more efficient that the old familiar type.

How noisy is this toilet when it's flushed ? The toilet we have in our en-suite makes a loud gurgling sound at the end of the flush and this wakes up the other person. I need a quiet unit.

Hi Jeremy, this is Keisha with Kohler Co. I would be more than happy to answer your question. A loud gurgling sound at the end of a toilet flush may indicate a venting issue with the plumbing rather than a toilet issue. Regarding the noise, a toilet with a canister flush valve will be just perceivably louder than a toilet equipped with a flapper flush valve when flushed. However, the tradeoff is that toilets with a canister flush valve will have better performance including greater water efficiency. Also, a canister flush valve is quieter than an assisted flush, featured in many commercial toilets. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

we have installed 2 of theses toilets. while we do like them we have a problem that several times the seem to drain a few litres of water and the fill up again. both of these toilets do this. what is the problem

Perhaps the chain pulling up the flapper value is too long? If so, you should adjust it slightly. You may want to check the water pressure coming into your home. My toilets sometime flush irregularly as well and we just got used to the occasional hiccup.

I may need to install a vent behind my toilet (moving toilet and the joist cavity happens to be where the heat duct runs).... How much room will this toilet give me between base and wall?

At floor level you would have 5”, but above a usual 3-4” baseboard the clearance diminishes down to about 1” about a foot up from the floor.  I could send you a picture if needed.
