HydroRail-R allows you to easily upgrade a standard shower to a spa-like showering experience with luxurious overhead rain and handshower functionality. It's designed to accommodate a wide array of bath/shower configurations without altering in-wall plumbing, making it suitable for both remodels and new construction. This bath/shower column converts your single-outlet showerhead into a two-outlet custom showering experience, and has a slidebar bracket for easy height and angle adjustments to your handshower. For smooth toggling between handshower and rainhead functions, this column features a diverter conveniently located at the base.

It's very solid and nicely finished and it is just the right height for my wife and I (I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'6"). I hate having to bend over when shower heads aren't tall enough, but my wife likes to be able to adjust and change the shower head direction so it can't be too high. It's easy to install, only needs a few screws drilled with a masonry bit into tile or stone. I had it up in less than 20 minutes. We bought a big square shower head with the same finish and they look great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whole new shower experance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't too sure if i was going to like this style of shower but once you try it your hooked. Nice looking design very functional and very easy to install. This is a bit pricy by the time you add in the hand shower and the large rain head but vs. the cost of tearing out the wall and replumb for this style of shower it’s much less evasive. You can do this with a little time, few tools, minimal effort and you have just updated your shower to the next level. Please note in my video I did not use the provided mounting hardware, I’m in the process of renovating a few rooms and I didn't want to mount this in tile until I tried it first. Last thing I want was to drill into my new tile if I didn't like this and have to patch new tile.

First ... it adds a tremendous amount of versatility with the availability of a large rain head shower and the handheld shower wand. Second, this rail is extremely nice looking. All of this can be done in about an hour without needing to tamper with the plumbing inside the wall. However, I think the HUGE downside to this is the cost. For $450, I think a shower head and wand should be included. I think it overprice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bath/Shower Column [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HydroRail Bath/Shower Column in Oil Rubbed Bronze has a very nice finish that will last along time if it is cleaned regularly. The installation instructions should be rewritten because it does not explain the correct way to install it, this is not something that the normal homeowner should try to tackle unless they have the skills. The HydroRail is wonderful when it is finished, works great, and looks beautiful on top of it.

This hydrorail allowed us to raise the showerhead by over 4" and add a handheld. The install took my husband (who is not particularly handy) less than 30 minutes and we love the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made sure there were studs behind the mounting points... I made sure there were studs behind the mounting points because I didn’t want to use the plastic anchors. This thing is mounted to studs in my shower . I didn’t want someone to pull on it or slip and grab ahold of it and pull it out of the wall along with tile! If you’re doing a complete renovation I would suggest you do the same. It has its own diverter , so you can switch from the overhead to the hand held & run them both simultaneously. Looks expensive and no other rail can make the same statement.

It looks so nice and shiny. This is just the trick to get that personalized message from your hand held shower head. I did run into an issue with mounting this shower rail. I tried to install it and it stuck out an inch and a half from the shower surround so I had to go back and move in its mounting point. Otherwise I love it.

I would recommend watching the Home Depot install video first just to get a good feel on install. It has a very nice finish, didn't see any runs or weak spots in the finish. My favorite part is all important install pieces are metal and not plastic. If mounted to studs it also works as a slip handle.

Can I still use a tub spout and switch between these 2? Which parts do I need.

A bath spout is not compatible with the HydroRail as the diverter on the column is a two way diverter; it switches between the handshower and showerhead. How much clerence do I need from the shower water (where the pipe that feeds my current shower head) supply to the ceiling?

Can the depth of the hydrorail, which is currently listed at 17.938 inches be extended with an extension accessory?

I have a bench in my shower and the 17.938 depth may not be enough in order to use a rain shower head. If the depth is set then I may have to opt for a standard adjustable shower head that can be angled
