First time people always ask me how do you turn it on? you can put the opener handle a bit far from the faucet to give the faucet ah unique presentation in your sink. We had it for about 5 years now and I would definitely buy it again. Kohler has also given us great customer service with any parts that might go bad due to regular wear and tear. Over all if you have a nice beautiful kitchen this is a must have.

First one put out .5 gal. per min. sent it back & got another. If you get one of these things, test it BEFORE installation. Kohler claims 2. 2 gal. per min. or so, I get 1.7 gal. per min. Could have used a MUCH more cost effective fixture instead of this thing, but this one fits under the plantation shutters over the sink. If I had 1.5" more room, I never would have spent that kind of cash. If you don't mind the low water flow, this faucet works fine. To use the spray, turn the water on, then push the button. If you want to go back to stream, turn the water off and on again. Also, there is no hose. The articulation of the neck is good, but awkward after using a hose for years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this faucet is a work of art which is why we selected it for our kitchen remodel. The quality and metal finish is outstanding. It fits into our kitchen like it was supposed to be there all along. This is the only thing in the kitchen that our guests seem actually drawn to and want to talk about. It looks that nice. But it's not perfect and there are a couple of things I wish I knew earlier. First off, the spray pattern is just too narrow for efficient rinsing of large pots, pans, or bowls. It works fine for smaller things but most of those go into the dishwasher anyway. Second, the joystick control has just too small a range of motion to adjust the temperature easily - about 2 inches of arc compared to over 7 inches on our previous faucet. This makes it tough to dial in the temp you want. Volume control (front-back joystick motion) is fine as it's normally all the way on or off. Third - it really does take two hands to adjust the various joints on the faucet. Fourth - it doesn't show real well in the pictures but the patterned part of the metal is covered in a thick, clear plastic. I'm sure that this was done so you could touch it while hot water was running through it but I have a concern that the plastic will yellow with age and exposure to sunlight in our south facing kitchen. All-in-all we're really happy with the faucet but there are a couple things to be aware of.

This faucet is in engineering marvel! from the ease of install to the high end fits and finishes. I wanted a faucet that was like no other and this fit the bill. It functions just as good as it looks. It allows you to have full 360 degree articulation meaning you can twist, pull and navigate the faucet in any way you like. The faucet is so custom that you can adjust the tightness of each joint with a special tool that it comes with. Installation: very easy, the faucet comes with very easy to follow instructions and all the nessary parts to get the job done. Use: The faucet uses a unique way to control the water flow. basically a joy stick. I like this because its pretty easy to set the right temperature. Pros: Looks sleek! hides away when not in use easy controls easy installation/instructions Cons: can clog easy if you have debris in your water system

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Faucet but Different [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this Kohler Karbon Faucet installed in our kitchen in about 45 minutes. It replaced a Kohler motion sense faucet we've had for some while. My wife and I are both trying to decide which one we prefer. In my opinion, this Karbon Faucet is for someone that wants more than just a faucet. It's very much about design and style. Everyone that has come to our home has commented on it. It's a beautiful and unique faucet but is also very functional. You can position the faucet for very high clearance or have it down low in the sink. I've never had a faucet that has a laminar flow. Basically it's a non-aerated flow. Laminar flow is excellent for gently washing fruits and vegetables. Now here's the drawback. If you have a faucet that you can quickly move around or you have a pull down that you grab to quickly rinse out the sink then this will take some getting use to. I personally feel this faucet is best suited at a sink used for food prep and light dish washing. While it is expensive, the quality is second to none.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the Wait!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A little spendy but OMG what an improvement over traditional kitchen sink faucets! Kohler hit this one out of the ball park. I often don't fall in love with home improvements but I have never used a more functional faucet. The spray head is integrated into the faucet and activates with a quick push of a button. The ergonomics of this faucet are flawless. I'm amazed that when reaching for the spray head, it fits perfectly in the hand and the design allows infinite articulation of the spray head. Rather than fight with the spray head trying to reach all areas of a large sink with traditional faucet sprayers, the Karbon seems like an extension of your hand allowing you to direct the sprayer anywhere within the sink - effortlessly. When I think about the costs of a kitchen remodel or upgrade, this is a small price to pay for such convenience. My plumber had a couple questions on adjusting the water flow, called up Kohler and they quickly provided guidance. Kohler customer service is world class! Just make sure to SAVE the two plastic tools for adjusting the tension and removing the faucet aerator. Do not lose them - my plumber said these tools are unique to the Karbon faucet to make adjustments on these faucets and he said he didn't have similar tools. So far EVERYONE who walked into my kitchen noticed the faucet and remarked on how "cool" it was and how superior the sprayer design is.
