This is exactly what we were looking for to go with our vanity top sinks in our master bath. I didn't want a clunky stopper drain, and because we never used the stopper in the past we went with this style. You can never go wrong with Kohler. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use this drain for a non overflow bathroom sink drain. I bought this drain because by accident I purchased a bathroom sink without a water overflow drain. By the time I figured out I purchased a non-overflow sink, I had already thrown out all the packaging so it was not returnable. A standard drain doesn't work if you don't have an overflow so this is the solution. You can NOT use the faucets drain stopper with this drain. It works like your shower drain and just filters the hair and stuff out of the water. Less stuff going down your drain to clog it! Also since you can't stop this drain off if you accidently leave the water running it won't flood the bathroom. I considered that cheap insurance vs. the cost of replacing damaged baseboard, quarter round and the wood flooring in the hallway. The drain's construction is very heavy duty and will last a long time. The sink drain was easy to install. Put some plumbers putty around the area that seats into the sink and tighten the gasket from under the sink and attach the rest of the plumbing to the drain. I'm a firm believer in using plenty of plumbers tape when installing plumbing... I gave it a 3 star value because it's over priced by about 20 bucks.

I have this BRASS BATHROOM SINK GRID DRAIN WITHOUT OVERFLOW IN VIBRANT BRUSHED NICKEL and the water does not empty quickly, what can I do?

I have checked the trap and line and there is nothing blocking, it's clean. The water from the Kohler faucet seems to flow into the bowl and drain out very slowly, almost like there is vacuum between the drain and the trap. By the way, my trap and line fittings are all metal, so I can't add an air vent, no room. Any thoughts?

Your problem is probably in the plumbing in the wall. Try using a drain cleaner like instant power hair and grease remover first. If that doesn't get it, I would take the plumbing off where it's attached to the pipe coming out the wall and use a Power Pistol-Grip Drum Auger to try to clean out the restriction. Try looking in there and see if you can see any hair or stuff that would need to be dug out. The wall pipe only goes into the wall for about 2 or 3 inches and then it take's a turn to head for the main sewer line. So you got the make the auger line turn the corner in order to get down the pipe to the restriction. You can buy one for about 25 bucks at home depot. I would have a small bucket and towels handy for clean up. Good luck with it...
