Rated 2 out of 5 by from The seat works...I guess that's important The seat seems like rather flimsy plastic for the 95.00 price tag, I expected better quality. The sandbar color did match the sandbar toilet exactly. The preset hole connections or connectors do not allow the seat to sit correctly on the toilet. When tightened as completely as possible the seat sits about 1/4 inch to the right of center. Would look better if centered but don't want to leave seat loose. Tried resetting several times. Maybe I received bad product? If I had to do it over again I would not purchase this product. Could have purchased matching product for half the price. Lesson learned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Seat fine, installation terrible We bought this as a replacement seat for a K-3386-DA toilet. The seat fits fine, but the installation hardware is useless. As many others have commented, the original seat is basically impossible to remove: there are no accessible bolts and the screws don't turn; they just shear off or strip the porcelain. I managed to get one out, and (like others on the internet) had to hacksaw the other off. The mounting hardware that comes with this seat includes screws, which are too small for the existing holes (even though I have only one that might plausibly have threads), and also with anchor bolts, which are too large for the existing holes. I will try purchasing the ridiculously expensive 84999 mounting kit, but I will probably end up also purchasing a ceramic drill bit and trying to drill out the holes to the appropriate width. Since the toilet seats on this model only last ~10 years, you will definitely need to replace them, and it's basically the cost of purchasing a replacing the entire toilet. Do not buy.

There are slow closing seats under $50 available from other manufacturers.

FIt was perfect, replacement easy, but price was definitely more than I wanted to pay.

K-4662-55 is not a slow close seat but it does come with Quick Release hinges and Quick-Attach hardware.
