I found this shower receptor online with several vendors, but I purchased it from The Home Depot after speaking with an online representative that assured me that I could return it to any store if it didn't work out. He also helped me determine which instore shower doors would work with this item. It arrived when it was suppose to and was delivered right into our garage. We had it installed by our plummer and it went right in! We were replacing a bathtub with this shower and the drain was in the standard bathtub location. We are thrilled with the results. We tiled the rest of the enclosure and installed a glass shower door and it looks great! Plenty of room and a place to sit to shave your legs! The only improvement I would make is texture the floor to prevent slipping. We just put down a mat inside. Overall, we are very pleased with this receptor both in looks and in functionality.

My boyfriend fell within minutes of showering and hurt himself pretty bad. If buying this product, know you will have to purchase a mat or something to prevent slipping.

The listed size is misleading. 48" is exactly the size had between the studs however the actual unit size is 48-3/8". Had to notch away the studs to get it to fit. Other than that I’m pleased with the quality and overall construction of the unit.

I have a preexisting tile floor can I put the 60 inch Memoirs shower receptor directly on the tile floor and attached to the wall studs.

The directions state to install receptor then install the finished floor.

Hello Bob, I'm Tiffany from Kohler Co. I am happy to answer your question about the Memoirs shower receptor. The recommended installation is on a subfloor. The key to this installation is a completely level floor. This receptor can be installed on top of the finished floor with floor leveling compound; it will add stability to the center of the base and around the outside.
