Worked fine when new but now jams up when using to dispense dish detergent. Hand soap works fine. Evidently it's more slippery than detergent and acts as a lubricant. We have 3 of these dispensers and they all act the same. The description does say "soap/lotion" not "detergent" so maybe I'm expecting too much. The good news is that I dribbled some olive oil on the moving plastic parts and that made it work fine. We'll see how long that lasts. We've never had a problem with even cheapy dispensers using dish detergent so I'm disappointed that this expensive unit from Kohler barfs with detergent.

Just installed this dispenser after having the cheaper versions stop working and break. This is very nice looking and has a good weight and feel to the dispenser. I was taken back by the spigot end being closed and the soap coming out of a hole on its bottom side. Others have pointed out that it keeps the soap from getting shot all over the place. I do fill these with dish soap, so I'm hoping it won't clog up the pump. Pros: Looks expensive Easy to install Nice springing action on the pumps rebound Cons: Little disappointed soap doesn't come out the end of the spigot

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Spout is too short We just installed this dispenser in our kitchen sink to use for dishwashing liquid. The spout is too short, so that if you want to squirt some soap into a dirty pot, you have to hold the pot at the top of the sink, tilt it over a bit, squirt soap onto the upper inside edge of the pot, and then run water to get the soap down into the part of the pot that is actually dirty. Even an inch of additional spout length would make this faucet a lot better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work Unlike previous reviewers, I use mine for hand washing only. We installed the artifact faucet, sprayer and this soap dispenser in January 2018. I thought I was buying a quality product like Moen who stands behind everything they make. The faucet now has absolutely no water pressure and needed repair parts. Now the soap dispenser will not pump. You push down to dispense and it stays down and will not dispense soap. Very expensive product to only last a couple of years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dispenser quit pumping after 15 months I ordered this product in December 2021 and did not receive until after April 2022 due to back orders. Product was not installed until after May 2022. This month the dispenser pump has since stopped working all together. We have kept the dispenser clean and still when putting back in soap will not dispense and you can not even push down to pump the soap. This is very unexpected for a Kohler product as I have always had high expectations. I am rating this as a 1`star due to this product no longer working this soon after the 1 year warranty and the frequent difficulties we had even during the first year with it seeming to not dispense in a smooth manner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spout Too Short Installed this into the kitchen sink and found the spout barely shoots the soap into the sink, but usually drops straight down onto the top edge of the sink; when using for hands, you can stick your hand under the spout, but very inconvenient for everyday dishwashing, kitchen use with pots/pans, etc. No other way to mount. Very disappointed.

It fills conveniently from the top and adds to the rich look of the counter top, sink and faucet. I'd recommend this dispenser to anyone!

K-1894 soap dispenser in BN

Installed with kitchen remodel about 5 years ago and worked great. 2 years ago, clogged up, cleared but wouldn't dispense correctly. Purchased replacement pump from manual and installed. Worked about 1 year. Now not working again; have ordered 5 replacement pumps and first 3 don't work???? Am I doing something wrong? Following directions on the install manual???? Help Please!

can you buy a smaller bottle, this is just slightly too big for my under sink area.

Not sure if you can buy a smaller bottle....however look for a small spray bottle that s a little smaller that would fit your space. Bring the larger bottle so you can match threads. You would need to shorten the pickup stem. Be sure to cut it at a slight angle...

I'm not sure about using Dove dish soap. We use undiluted Dawn dish washing liquid in ours with no problems.

Is the soap bottle clear enough to see how much soap is left? Current soap dispenser has a white bottle and we have no idea how much soap is left until it runs out, or we overfill it because we never know if we are near the top. Thanks!
