I was impressed that it was reported as very sturdy as well as metal parts instead of plastic, which was important to me. My maintenance man (who installed it) was impressed with it. However, he mentioned to me that the enclosed nuts were plastic, not metal. He told me that if it came to it, he could replace them with metal ones available to him. As such, anybody looking to buy this to be aware that the nuts are plastic. I still recommend the purchase, though. It is far better than most toilet seats on the market.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big disappointment! We bought this toilet seat February 13, 2014 and it looked great, with an easy installation. Seemed to be functioning just fine until October 13, 2014. I used it and the pressed sawdust molded seat broke, split right through. When the description states, "molded wood" it is just cheap particle stuff. There was even a sawdust residue. I am not a heavy person either, at 195# and 6'1" and my wife is just 5'6" and 118#. This product should support much more girth than either of us offers anyway. Seven months for this product to last is just not acceptable. It appears we did not save the original receipt but we do have the shipping order with the packing list number as it was sent to Home Depot. We want a free replacement of a better quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new Kohler toilet I recently ordered a Kohler Memoirs Classic toilet to replace a toilet in my small guest bath. The price was reasonable especially considering it is made by Kohler and is a thing of beauty (see picture). It is ecologically a good choice as it has a 1.28 GPF (gallons per flush) and therefore conserves more water than the standard toilet. The comfort height has already spoiled me for any standard height toilet and I find I tend to use it more than my master bath toilet because of this! I would definitely recommend this product to others and order this product again in the future.

My only complaint if I have one is that having grown used to the light weight and non-slam plastic toilet seats, we have had a tendency to forget and slam this down when closing it, but we're quickly adjusting

I thought maybe the first time was a fluke, but I purchased a SECOND seat after the first one cracked, and it also cracked! There is definitely something not balanced correctly on this seat, because I have never in my life cracked a toilet seat, and I've had 2 of these crack now. I have owned all wood toilet seats in the past as well! I will definitely be looking for a different brand from here on out!

It's a well-built quality product. The white paint is flawless and really shines. The chrome hinges are also very attractive. Looks a lot more expensive than the selling price. Don't hesitate on this one if you value a really true value.

It should fit as they are all pretty much standard. I have a Kohler toilet and just replaced the seat with another brand seat and went by if toilet is round or elongated.

I have an american standard Cadet 3 toilet in "Bone" color. would the "Almond" color match the toilet?
