Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't care for combination tank bolt and bowl seal Tank to bowl seal was one piece rubber gasket that included seals around each mounting bolt. A nice idea in theory, but I found it hard to get the tank mounted evenly with the bolts compressing the gasket material around them preventing the heads from seating. Installed the tank one night and checked for leaks. None. The next morning I flushed it and water just poured out from beneath the tank. I loosened and re-tightened the bolts again and got it to seal, but I felt like I was going to crack the tank. I've installed dozens of toilets with the standard foam gasket and have never had an issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy install I should have purchased the tank first instead of trying to fix the leak in the old tank. The old toilet is discontinued so it's hard to get parts. I spent $$ on a lot of parts that did not solve the problem. This tank had everything already installed, just needed to tighten tank to bowl and water supply. Would have saved me hours and hours of frustration!! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is because I use a Fluid Master toilet bleach cartridge. The hose from the cartridge is difficult to fit into the flush valve. I hope it stays put and does not cause damage to the interior parts.

Perfect match for the 2011 tank I busted by dropping the lid into the tank which cracked the bottom. This was easy to install - 3 nuts to tighten. Everything was pretty much pre assembled and ready to go. I just dropped the screws in, tightened the bolts, made sure it was level, and voila! I'm back in business for doing my business! Kohler has a great video on their site with instructions. I watched it before ordering the tank, and didn't need any other instructions. I'm a woman and did this by myself in about 10 minutes. No leaks and worked perfectly on the first try. Woot woot.

I was skeptical about the reduced water usage, but am pleasantly surprised with the performance. 3 screws (instead of 2) hold the tank to the bowl. That's good. Much improved (rubber) integrated/comprehensive sealing methods for tank to bowl, with no leaks, and much reduced chance for tank damage from older methods that had metal (nuts) directly in contact with the tank. Arrived in fine condition and quality is great. We will see what the next 5 years bring relative to corrosion, etc., but so far, very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything was included, didn't need anything additional at all I thought I was just buying the tank. All hardware, fill valve, seals and bolts were included. I've heard of some that don't even include the lid. Shipping was much faster than I expected. The price is OK but not inline with half a toilet in my view. I had two stools fall over in my truck and both tanks broke so I was in a mess and sure not happy with the situation. The guy in plumbing department at HD really knew what he was doing and the product line. For a bad situation, I got the best outcome I could expect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Perfectly We discovered a slow leak as a result of the previous owners of our house cracking the toilet tank and attempting to seal it with silicone. It turned out it was a Kohler Wellworth toilet with part numbers that were discontinued (Mfg in 2007). I ordered this tank as a replacement (and crossed my fingers) and, thankfully, it fit perfectly. Now we have no leaks and it was much cheaper than buying a new toilet. Kudos to HomeDepot for having a black tank in stock. Usually these are special order only.

Installation was fairly easy and directions were good. Packing of tank in shipping carton with barely adequate protection against damage in shipment was fairly minimal. This was second tank we received. First on was sent via UPS directly to me and was received very badly damaged and not useable. Second tank was shipped directly to Home Depot local store and arrived without damage. Tank is well equipped with everything necessary to operate properly without having to purchase additional parts not supplied with tank. Fit and finish were good. Flush capacity is barely adequate but works OK. Now in operation for about 3 weeks. No major issues. Meets basic expectations I had for an exact replacement tank with improved flush mechanism from older original one.

That may be doubtful since most manufacturers have their own setups for tanks and bowls. Kohler has a setup where there are 3 attaching bolts, one on the front and 2 in the back.

The exit position shouldn’t make a difference on the tank, but i suggest for you to get tue bowl part number and go on the Kohler page to see if the screws on the tank will line up with the holes on the bowl.
