Quelle est la hauteur de ce cèdre à l'achat?

Asked by: Benny
environ 36 "avec le pot

I want to keep these pots permanently as decorative trees for a rooftop terrace; is this feasible? What type of best will best suit? thank you!

Asked by: JessicaJanie
Hi JessicaJanie, These plants will be ok in the 2G pot for a season with FREQUENT watering-- as the soil in a smaller container is likely to evaporate quickly once the weather warms. If you plan on keeping these above ground, you should use an insulated pot to help protect from frost damage through the winter and gradually increase the pot size to accommodate growth. The roots are growing BELOW the pot, just as much as they are showing above the pot

If the 2 gallon is approximately 36" in height, why is the 5 gallon only 38"? Or do I have that wrong?

Asked by: pbnj
Hi pbnj, This item is currently measuring 36" in height, including the pot. the 5 Gallon specimen, (which is a different SKU) measures between 48-54" including the pot.

is the 2 gallon ok to plant in a planter and year round? I have read that the 1 gallon is recommended for planters and the 5 gallon is not but not sure about the 2 gallon. thank you

Asked by: trish
I do not have much idea about these plants but can only describe my experience. I bought around fall last year and planted them. Although all the 8 plants survived but I have not seen any real growth in the plants. Maybe the opposite is somewhat true. It seems that some of these plants have got thinner and some of them thicker. But, I have not seen them growing upwards. Thanks.

I bought 4 of these to be delivered but when I got them the tops were cut off so that they fit in the delivery box (I'm assuming).  Since the branches were cut off at the top - some say the trees will now NOT grow tall but grow wide only.  Is this true?

Asked by: Judy7777
The growers actually prune the tips to encourage growth. A new leader will take approximately one year to grow, you will likely see growth before the end of this summer. Please contact online@btn.ca for more info.

How much does this cedar grow each year? How long will it take to reach the maturity of 15ft?

Asked by: Catt
Organic Growth for an emerald cedar should be about 6-8” per year This is dependent on many external factors such as: Sun/ Light exposure, moisture, soil nutrients and whether you choose to add fertilizer

What is the optimum distance between each plant?

Asked by: Ruth
This depends on the purpose. If you are creating a hedge- then the recommended spacing is anywhere from 2-3 feet If you are planning spacing in a garden or landscape, then 3 ft. would suffice

is this the same with the tree that is posted but without stock?

Asked by: edwin
This is not the same item. They are the same variety- Emerald Cedar. But different sizes. This item is 2 gallon, a younger specimen and smaller in size. The other one listed is 5 gallon, older and larger. They will both grow to the same size at full maturity.
