LePage Low Odour Contact Cement is a water-based adhesive that creates a strong, tough bond with excellent hot-creep resistance. Our contact cement has a high solid content, which gives it three times greater coverage than solvent-based alternatives. LePage Low Odour Contact Cement also bonds on contact to eliminate the need for clamping. Our formulation is ideal for interior home-improvement projects because it's low in VOC content and odour, and it's solvent-free and non-toxic. Use our contact cement for jobs around the house, such as repairing fabric seat covers or bonding decorative laminates to cabinets. Regardless of the task, our adhesive goes on smoothly without stringing, and it can be applied with your choice of roller, brush, or spray. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product There are plenty of negative reviews for water-based, low VOC contact cements, but I used this stuff to cover two old 4' x 6' Masonite table tops with Formica laminate and it worked perfectly well. The job had to be done inside a store and without the risk of demolishing the whole block by way of explosion, so I used this water-based glue for that reason and for the first time. The trick is this - FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! - as to stirring, temperature, coverage, drying time etc. It grabs every bit as well as regular solvent based contact cement as long as the ambient temp is around 70 degrees or so. That seems to be the most important factor and understandable when you consider you're trying to flash off water, not a more volatile solvent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product, Safe, no latex, doesn't smell. I honestly can't recommend this product enough. It is the glue I use for a lot of my projects. I can use it indoors without worry of smell. It is incredibly adhesive. It bonds similar to Barge with two coats and I don't have to smell solvents while working with it. I teach classes and when I do I always use and recommend this product. It acts like a rubber latex without having latex which a lot of people are allergic to nowadays.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The glue by itself is good, but not the bottle I have been using this glue for years, and it my favorite kind of contact cement for most applications. It holds well and it is relatively easy to work with. However, I have been having issues with every single bottle I have had. I do not care for the brush attached to the cap. After a few uses it becomes useless. When you put the cap upside down, the glue drips from the brush and gets collected in the cap. When this glue dries, the cap is impossible to open. Now, I remove the brush right away. Also, after the glue on the bottom of the cap dries, it rolls leaving air gaps, you can even see how the cap can be lifted on one side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For quick sticking things together I bought this specifically to put my husband's Pebble Round back together. It did the job with that (not forming a perfect seal considering the materials, but holding it together). I've found other uses around the house since. The best part so far is to be able to open up the container, use a bit and then just seal it up again for another use. Much better than buying a super glue or other glues that if you don't use it all up on the first go you are going to find the product all dried out and hard as a rock on a future use. Also great is the soap and water clean up. I see the convenience of having a brush in the cap, but would be better without it for those using the product for smaller jobs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Glue Leaky bottle The bottle leaks air, which dries out the glue very quickly and also the glue is runny enough that if any leaks through this leaky lid, it seals the lid on thoroughly. Packaging makes this wonderful glue a terrible choice to buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unusable after the first time After the first use the lid was stuck very tight. I used a pipe wrench to loosen it and the lid was still stuck to the bottle with stretchy dry cement. I cut the dry stretched part with scissors and the lit flew off, the dried sheet went down and splashed contact cement in my face. This is a disgusting product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product This is utterly garbage.I bought it to glue some vinyl sheet over a desk top and does not stick at all.. left it to dry for 30min the apply a second coat left it for 40min still nothing.. after a day the edges started to peel off.. I think this is baby formula not for construction use

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bubble We used it to connect Formica Laminate onto a plywood countertop. All instructions were followed. The next day we had a large bubble in the laminate causing rework.

I am trying to glue veneer plywood cutouts (2 feet x 1.5 feet) on drywall. Will this glue hold them well? It's a vertical wall behind the bed.

Asked by: Samantha
Yes it will if you let both dry until the are slightly tacky. When applied the will stick together immediately and you won’t be able to move them . There is a trick to put a pice of wax paper between them with one edge exposed. Place the one in position and the slowly remove the was psper and the price should finish in the correct position, hope it goes well.
