Rated 5 out of 5 by from And you said "Make sure it does not move" Ok you want to glue something and you never want it to move, you want it permanently stuck there, you never want to worry about it moving, you are sure you want it in that place, stuck forever and ever and ever, and most of all YOU ARE 100% SURE YOU ARE GLUEING IT IN THE RIGHT PLACE then this is the product for you. PL Polyurethane Construction Adhesive 300Ml is the product for you. You have about 45 minutes to work with the product, after that you are on borrowed time, after 24 hours you won’t be able to budge the joint. Floor joist, wall board, wood metal, you name it, you can glue it. This product holds it’s own. This product gets 5 thumbs up Good Luck Ron

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! Does this stuff grab! I had to replace the base plate of the walls on the shed of an old house that I bought. The base plate had rotted and the bolts into the concrete floor had corroded beyond repair & reuse. I thought I'd have to drill new holes into the concrete floor so as to install new bolts but my father suggested that I use this stuff to fix the new base plate to the concrete. It works like a dream. The glue gets into the pores of the concrete and the pores of the wood and there's no detaching them. I can't see it as being, in the end, as effective as bolts but, short of a tornado or hurricane (and there's not too many of these in Sudbury, Ontario), that shed ain't gonna move from its foundation. Highly recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Construction Miracle I have done a major renovation in our kitchen and bathroom. We started with the bathroom not using the adhesive then moving to the kitchen using this product. In the kitchen it was used on subflooring, behind drywall, even at the joining of studs, cabinets to name a few. After 6 weeks we now hear creaks and notice small flooring movement in the bathroom. The kitchen however is strong and sound.the bathroom is adjacent the kitchen on the same floor platform so I know its the adhesive making the difference. Now wish we had used this product sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST GLUE I found out about this glue, and used it to fix the roller for the awning on my trailer, and I'ts been good ever since. I glue bricks together as I'm too lazy to mix mortar, and the big bad wolf won't blow them down... I have a Ryobi cordless nail gun and between it and that glue, there is no need to drag out the air compressor, as the nails hold it long enough for the glue to set. Most of my bathroom it held together with this glue. I hate to see the guy who wishes to take it apart to renovate..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You should only use PL products if you are certain you will never have to move or adjust that which you are glueing. I've used this product to glue the baseboards onto the shower base, glue the bathroom mirror onto the wall and various other permanent glue jobs. You have about 1/2 hour to work with it and make adjustments. After that you'll need a crowbar and lots of time and money to repair the damage from trying to rip whatever you've glued on, off. I recommend wearing latex gloves when using PL because this stuff is hard to get off. Finally, in tube form, you can't save this stuff so what you don't use is lost so you may want to group the jobs. However, it now comes in liquid form (about 300ml for $7.95) as well. This is probably the strongest bonding agent on the market at least that I'm aware of. Recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from i normally get heavy duty construction loctite, but at time... i normally get heavy duty construction loctite, but at time there were none on the shelf, loctite pl premium was the ony thing available..upon using several tubes i find that the tubes seems to burst open while inside the caulk gun and becomes very messy removing glue from gun let along do not let gun sit for a day it is very hard to remove after completely drying plus it ruin my caulk gun from not opening all the way to insert what ever i am using. I like the way it adheres once dried but it do not compare to instant grad from a long shot ...the heavy duty..to be honest i will never get it again way to of a mess..due to container breakage

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent adhesive but be careful about curing Without exaggeration, this adhesive strongly bonds almost anything to anything. I no doubtfully love its performance, ease of use, and the low odor feature. An issue I like to report is about the curing process. The Home Depot web site claims that it fully cures in 24 hours. Therefore, I glued a floor molding bracket (galvanized steel) to a concrete floor and pushed the molding into it 24 hours thereafter. It resulted in part of the base coming off the floor. Apparently, the maximum bonding power is not yet reached in 24 hours, at which time the adhesive has not completely hardened. I would give it at least 48 hours before trying to apply any load.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from PL Premium Difficult to Use The PL Premium I recently purchased was so stiff that it needed both hands on the trigger of the caulking gun to push the adhesive out of the tube and the adhesive went all over the place. I contacted the manufacturer, Lepage, to report a defective product. I was asked for the lot number but it was missing from the tube. Lepage said they could not follow up without the lot number. I checked at Home Depot and found several different lot numbers on the shelf. The lot numbers were stamped on the plunger but easily removed with the wipe of a finger. While using the tube of adhesive, the lot number is wiped away and Lepage will not have to follow up on defective products.

Can I use this to glue onto house numbers?

Asked by: j1814s
Yes, this can be used depending upon the mounting surface composition and composition of the house numbers. However, bracing or temporary support will be required until adhesive cures.

Will this work to install baseboards, crown molding, and corner pieces

Asked by: zac
Very strong adhesive. I used it to apply hard to glue synthetic wainscoting, base & cap molding to ceramic tile bathroom walls 12 years ago & it hasn't budged yet. I don't know if I would use it on crown molding because of limited contact area of crown molding unless backer board was installed behind. You'd have to contend with squeese out top & bottom because of the necessity of gluing close to edges with crown.

Can I use this to secure bamboo flooring to concrete for a small area I am repairing?
Asked by: Bob
Yes you can. It'll be very hard to get it up in the future. I would make sure it's very well fitted first then glue it down and hold it down with weights, making sure it remains even

will this work on Copper to plywood

will this work on Copper to plywood
Asked by: copperman
The Loctite® PL® Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive can bond to copper but it is not a trowel grade adhesive. If your project involves laminating copper sheet metal or thin panels then it would not be a good choice and will not provide the results you want. You should consult the copper metal manufacturer for recommended adhesives and installation instructions assuming you are working with copper sheet goods.

What can i use to glue fiberglass to wood

Asked by: Jerry
Fiberglass is actually the reinforcing fiber, so you need to bond to the resin.  Urethane or epoxy adhesives should work, but you may find the single part (moisture cure) urethane to be simpler (and less toxic than epoxy components)  Just keep in mind the urethane is considered permanent (sometimes must be cut with piano wire). Also,  3M makes a 5200 for very permanent use on boats, and a 4200 which can be cut and removed with effort.
