Rated 5 out of 5 by from Translucent is perfect for exterior work Took me a while to find this in the store as every other company keeps promoting their crystal clear silicone. I didn't want clear, I needed something to hide imperfections! This product does that job tremendously and diffuses the existing colour of what it is applied to blending in nicely. I used this product to smooth out the gaps/joint between an exterior electrical box and siding, and found it very easy to work with as it doesn't stick to your fingers if you dip them in water. The final result now looks professional and finished. Only downside is it is quite high VOC so definitely work in a ventilated area.

The Lepage Quad Siding, window sealant that I was selected to try for free was really good in sealing my gap at the bottom of my garage door. The sealant was resistant to the cold air that was seeping into the garage before. The garage feels a lot warmer than before. When applying the sealant, it was a lot of force to squeeze the sealant from the gun out to the crack. I felt the sealant was strong and tough against the weather conditions. I am very grateful that I was chosen to try this product for free from Influenster. I look forward to trying more home projects samples in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What you need to know... Do NOT use this with painter's tape. It drys so fast that even if you remove the tape almost immediately, the caulk will curl. Also, because it really IS invisible, caulk AFTER you paint otherwise you won't see how uneven your bead is until you try painting over it. (I'm going to have to remove this caulk from around my window glass and start again.) Furthermore, if you don't smooth it with your finger, you can't tell whether you applied it okay. I used it around the windows between glass and sash.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult to work with I bought the Lepage Quad for one exterior door, and Mono for another exterior door. I did not care for the Lepage Quad sealant. I taped off where I was going to seal and applied an appropriate size bead. By the time I had finished applying the bead, and came back around to press it into the joint, it was like working with glue that had been drying for 30 minutes. It was not very pliable. It was difficult to wipe off my fingers with a rag. It proved to be a disappointing product for me and I would not use it again. It does its job as a caulking sealant, but is a pain to work with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pass on this one Stored and applied at 20c. Product has the consistency of liquid rubber. It is hard to apply a smooth bead and leaves voids which must be quickly tooled. The thickness does not allow it to flow into imperfections and seal cracks. I have used dozens of other clear silicons and this is the worst. I thought I would finish using the tubes I bought, but will be returning the rest as I refuse to fight with this any longer. Of all the panes with glass and plexiglass I have worked on, I can almost guarantee the window sealed with this will fail first.

Personally I would give this a zero out of 5 stars if I were to be selfish, just so I can walk in to Homedepot and grab one, lol. This product rarely ever stays stocked in stores. It's just like any other caulking, it's hard to work with and takes time to learn how to caulk properly.

I prepared the main door and easily applied the caulking. I''m not a pro but, not inexperienced at caulking. It applied very well and stayed in the space that I put it. Seems to work best if you give the caulking time to cure a bit, say 5 min. Before you tool it with a wet finger. Hope it lives up to the claims, time will tell but, so far I''m happy

It has been a couple months since we applied the sealant to our windows. It looks like it's holding up great with no cracks. We like how it's clear, and you can't see the imperfections of us applying the sealant :P We recommend this product to our DIY friends and friends in the Construction industry.

Would this stand up to Canadian winters in exterior applications?

Thank you for your question. LePage QUAD Sealant can be successfully used for exterior applications in Canada, depending upon the nature of the outdoor project. This sealant must be applied at temperatures above -7°C (20°F) to clean, dry, and frost-free surfaces. Once fully cured, it can withstand temperatures down to -29°C (-20°F).

Hi, Is this product suitable to seal around the fence post, where it gets into concrete footings? The surface will be buried by a few inches of soil. Also, does the surface must be dry or it can be applied on damp or moist surfaces?

Thank you for the question. LePage QUAD Window, Door & Siding Sealant could be used keeping in mind this is ground contact so there are no guarantees. Of course, surfaces must be clean and dry prior to using the sealant, not to mention the concrete must be well seasoned and free of any release agents or sealers. This intended use described is considered a maintenance situation and would require more frequent maintenance than normal.

Is this appropriate for sealing where the concrete foundation meets the wood portion of our house (which is just above the base of our siding)? We have bugs entering our home at this intersection and want to seal things up.

Thank you for the question. Yes, this product is suitable but be careful you are not blocking the drainage plane behind the siding. If you do you will create a water dam that could lead to other problems down the road.

Can lepage quad be used to stick vapor barrier to a concrete crawlspace wall?

The Lepage Quad Sealant is a sealant only it is not an adhesive, it is not meant to stick two substrates together. The vapor barrier is most likely made out of polyethylene plastic and we unfortunately have no product to recommend for this application.
