I've been quite impressed with this particular product and I expect it to last much better than competitors. There's nothing worse than taking the time to prepare a surface or area for a sealant that you are going to need to apply again in a short period of time due to cracking or separation. I certainly don't anticipate having a need to reapply this product anytime in the near future. It does the job and does it well!

At our house we love DIY projects and we do them often. My dad had been looking to seal our windows before the cold winter hit and so we used this opportunity since the weather has been warmer to seal the windows. This product went above and beyond our expectations! It is good quality, not sticky and easy to apply. It dries quickly and comes in many colors. We bought more after testing this to do the rest of our windows. It is fairly priced and one tube goes a long way. Thank you influenster for showing us a new quality product!

I removed the nozzle, punctured the seal and tried using the caulking. It was all I could do to get any to come out. So hard that it started coming out the plunger side. I didn't want to waste it so I tried applying with my finger. Huge mess. I called the company and they basically said, try another one. No offer to help any other way. Quite dissapointed. I was Happy with regular Quad buy Quad Max is awful. This is not normal I'm sure so you think they would have sent me replacement or something. And it's more expensive as well.

Application hint: As you apply sealant, use spray bottle to spritz light film of paint thinner and gently smooth bead with finger. Will give beautiful smooth finish, which can be painted over with good quality latex paint.

The application was easy i just cut the tip off, put in the chaulking gun, and pull the trigger. I put the chaulking around the window inside and out. I had plenty left, i removed several old window chaulking seals and repeated the process. I still have a ton left. I plan on heading over to my parents to use up the rest. The application really was simple and it made a huge difference. I highly recomend rechaulking your windows this time of year, prior to winter hitting!

We couldn’t believe someone would do such a horrible job to a perfectly good house!!! Since I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I like things done the “right” way, I purchase this product to be used in the manner it should have been used in the project we were working on. The product was so easy to use, so read easily and was exactly like it was advertised! It covered the area well, looks like a pro did the job and we are so very pleased with it! I’d recommend it to anyone who is doing their own home work…

Is this silicone based or what?

Maybe I overlooked it, but I can't find anywhere as to what this is. The specs say it's a sealant, but I can't find anything definitive. Is it caulk or silicone?

I think it's valuable to absorb some of the info in these tech sheets. is this good to use around the edge of a bathroom sink?

It works great in bathrooms. I use it all the time around tubs, sinks, baseboard, molding you name it. I don't even buy other caulking anymore. Yeah the say not to tool it but inside there isn't uv rays to harm the polyurethane. I've never had a problem with this caulk. It's main disadvantage besides price is that it sticks like crazy and doesn't apply as smoothe as water based, unless you know what your'e doing. Keep mineral spirits handy, a jar of coconut oil to coat hands, rags and gloves and you can do amazing stuff with this stuff.

Yes I have used it on wood cracks that expand in the summer and close some what in wetter weather. The caulk is very sticky and will stay flexible. But there is a limit to how big of crack you can fill.

Can I use this to re-caulk siding butt joints, or is it only for new installations?

Thank you for the question. Caulking joints that are too small becomes a maintenance situation and sometimes more frequent than not depending upon the situation. The manufacture does not recommend caulking butt joints that are not of proper design or narrow seam joints in new construction on prefinished siding materials. What is important to know is that all sealants at some point in time will require maintenance depending on how they were used, and sometimes replacement, because of the effects of aging, or because of poor joint design or because of installation deficiencies that can cause premature failure.
