[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wall outlet is a great innovation! Rather than have 2 AC adapters plugged in, I can now plug my USB cable directly into the outlet. Installation was fairly easy, but it does require a deep box because it is pretty large. Once installed, I plugged my USB-C to USB-C cable in and it is charging my phone! The AC portion of this outlet is rated for 15 Amps. The USB ports can deliver up to 30 watts to your device(s). This outlet supports Power Delivery, the latest charging standard that can supply up to 30 watts from a single USB-C port. That means super fast charging for my pixel 2 phone! The charger is smart and backwards compatible for all of your USB devices. Excellent product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes this works... but with a couple caveats. First off, if you haven't noticed this outlet has 2 ports for USB Type-C. Before you buy this, be absolutely sure that the device(s) that you will be charging have the smaller Type-C plug. Chances are, only the newer ones use this. If you are looking to plug a standard USB connector in this, you will be disappointed. Secondly, this outlet requires a larger outlet box than you might have. The box that was in my preferred location had dimensions of 2 3/4 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide. This outlet would NOT fit into it. Fortunately, I was able to swap out the gang box for one that was just a little longer and wider. I was also fortunate in that this happened to be the end of that particular circuit, meaning that there were fewer wires to cram into that box. If your present outlet is a standard mid-circuit outlet, you might very well have problems fitting it into the box. Don't misunderstand me, this is a GOOD product. BUT you need to be aware of what you're getting into.

This Leviton 30-Watt 6 Amp USB Dual Type-C with Power Delivery In-Wall Charger/15 Amp 125-Volt Tamper-Resistant Outlet, Ivory just doesn't do the trick for me. Everything I have uses a regular USB, not the type C that this has. Sure, you can buy an adapter, but why do I need to have adapters sticking out from the outlet. Now the quality is excellent and if you do want a type C, then this will work for you. But then you still have to get over the incredible price.

I no longer have my phone chargers to plug into the wall because I have replaced them with USB Type-C to USB Type-C cables for my Android tablet and cell phone. Having the ability to plug directly into the outlet has allowed me to put the chargers in my travel bag and truck for when I need them away from home. Highly recommended for anyone who has multiple devices!

But if you are or want to be on the cutting edge of technology you need this. Home Depot offered this to me in exchange for an unbiased review. I said,"Sure", because I have heard of these receptacles with built in USB charging ports but didn't have one. So I look at it and this is a teeny weeny USB port. I'm like,"OH,boy, here we go". I look closer; And it's a USB C port?! I admit I'd never heard of this. A little research and I learn this is the new thing, the cool thing, the latest thing, it's HOT!. I also see you can buy an adapter for 5 or ten bucks and use this with the old-timey USBs. You never have to turn it over and try to plug it in again because USB C goes both ways. I imagine quite a few people will buy these without looking close then return them to the store because, "What kind of USB is that"? Besides the USB C ports it looks like one of those square outlets. It's supposed to have circuitry that makes sure your device your charging doesn't get cooked. It senses what it's charging and delivers 5, 9, or 15VDC. It says it charges at up to 30 Watts. It can charge at up to 3 Amps. That'll charge your phone up in a hurry. Peeking through the vents I see some complicated looking little circuit boards inside. So if you need a USB C charging port or want to be cutting edge get this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for a type-c in-wall charging outlet, this is a great choice. This is the first one I have seen with type-c ports as opposed to the standard type-a USB ports. During the first charge of my Note 8, I noticed a savings of about 10 or 15 minutes in the amount of time it took to charge my phone. I did have to buy a cable with type-c connections on both ends since my existing charging cable was usb type-a to type-c. The 125 volt outlets are tamper-resistant so there is some resistance when inserting a cord, but I like it that way as it helps to avoid accidental unplugging of things like vacuum cleaners. The Power Delivery functionality is supposed to be a more universal standard to support multiple types of devices. I don't know much else about it, but combined with the type-c cable it seems to speed up the process.
