The screws that you use to mount to electrical box are very soft and cheap, if your screwdriver slips while turning in the screws they are stripped and basically useless. The outlet itself is very good but they need to improve quality of mounting screws.

Do they make a tamper resistant 15 amp duplex receptacle rated for copper aluminum wire

Do they make a tamper resistant 15 amp duplex receptacle rated for copper aluminum wire
Asked by: Billy
The only solution I have found is to use a pre-wired (pig-tailed) receptacle like the Hubbell CR15WHITRP and then use the special wire nuts that are designed to bond the copper pig-tails to the existing aluminum wire.

I installed and wall switch won't turn off outlet

Hi all. I installed these outlets into my living room and now I cannot turn off the power. The outlet is always getting power and will not turn off with the light switch
Asked by: Pete
You connected them to the wrong wires. You need to know which wires pass through the switch so the switch is in series with the hot (brass screw / black wire). If you do not understand this it may be best to get a professional to connect it, as a mistake could do serious damage to your house or kill someone, including yourself as you attempt to wire this.

Do these have a 20amp pass-through to be used on a 20amp circuit?
Asked by: March
NOT a 20 amp rated receptacle. Wires connected under the side screws, if sufficient gauge (size), will pass the full power available from the source (well, up to a limit where the metal melts, anyway).

These appear to be a smooth face outlet. Can this be confirmed?

We recently started replacing the outlets in our home but the one used is discontinued. Were looking for a comparable one as pictured below.
Asked by: JaymieLin
Yes, face is flat, not dished.

Does this fit a 12 gauge wire?

Asked by: Cwood
You must also use a 12-gauge wire when connecting an outlet rated for 20 amps, as many GFCI outlets are, even if the appliances you plug in are rated for only 15 amps. So yes it will work and it’s legal.
