Rated 4 out of 5 by from Summer Heat Great, cools everything quickly. Wish the hose was longer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great This is ok but not efficient and it sucks air from your room rather than having an air input which causes an issue with negative air flow from bathroom vent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AC - LG 200 It’s my first portable AC. I bought it one month ago and I haven’t had any issue. It’s noisy, but I got used. I bought it because I already have had other experiences with LG’s brand, which made me feel more comfortable with my decision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected! Great quality air conditioner. I’ve used it daily for over a month, at around 68 degrees, and I haven’t had to empty the water tank! I’ve had to duct tape the hose to the window unit as it kept falling out, but that’s pretty standard with most air conditioners.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Climatiseur performant Le produit ne déçoit pas.

How long is the cord to plug in? And can it be plugged into a power bar? Also, when I set it up on my window, does it come with the parts that the hose fits through, but blocks the rest of the open window?

Asked by: ReganP
Hello, The cord is 4 Feet long. It has a three pronged plug so as long as the power bar accepts that, it should be fine, but I am not an electrician. I have vented my unit through the wall because I didn't have a window in the loft where it is located. However it did come with equipment necessary to vent through a window. I hope that helps.

I have windows that are hinges on the left vertical side, and open outwards on an angle. Can this unit be used with windows like that?

Asked by: Gem19
That may present problems with the included panels which are designed for windows that go straight up or slide straight to the side. I imagine you could rig something up out of Corrugated Plastic and Gorilla Tape. Even with the included panels, I seal them in with tape as there are small gaps.

My window opens from side to side not up and down. Does it come with something to put in the window from top to bottom. Also if it’s nice out can I easily remove the hose and replace my screen for fresh outside air.

Asked by: Linda Loo
Yes, it comes with pieces to block the window opening that can be used vertically or horizontally, and there's a few of them to adjust for different lengths or heights of windows. My windows open sideways as well. How easy it is to put into the window and take out will depend a bit on your set up, but I don't see it being a big issue. I think removing and replacing the screen would be the trickiest part. I live in an apartment with old windows and gave up on removing the screen and just put it in front of the screen, held in by the window pane. It comes with some sticky-back foam you can insert to secure and seal the plastic insert against the window, and also a strip of loose foam you can wedge in.

When this AC once it reaches the desired temperature , does it turn off?

Asked by: Wendy
It doesn't completely turn off, but it goes down so just the fan is on and not the cooling portion. It will turn back on fully at a certain point to cool the room again as needed.

How much water does it drain typically in a span of 8 hrs? The one I bought last year (Haier company) used to drain so much water that it leaked on my carpet overnight. Also what is the dry mode? Does that mean It will not drain any water?

Asked by: AK212
The unit have a built in pan which can hold up to 2 pints of water. However, when this pan is full, LED display will show E5 and air conditioner will turn off until the tank is emptied. You will have to move the unit to a suitable drain location and remove the bottom drain cap to drain. Because the unit will stop operating when the pan is full, you do not have to worry about the overflow. Dry mode is basically a dehumidifying mode. However, when you are using this mode, you must connect a drain hose and connect to the upper drain port and place the open end of the hose at a suitable drain location or bucket.

I have a horizontal window space and how much minum hight is needed for the exhaust to be mounted? One window hight is 12 inch and the other one is 42 length.

Asked by: Alexi
the panel holding the exhauste hose is a little less than 6 inches high (5.75" to be exact) and 18 inches long. so it should fit. I had to cut a piece of hardboard foam insulation to cover the gap to the top of our window frame but that works fine.

I don't understand. The description says that there is an auto evaporation function but some of the questions/reviews talk about leakages and emptying the reservoir?

Asked by: ajg3
This unit can be an air conditioner and a dehumidifier - as that is taking  moisture out of the air, the water either must be collected into a reservoir or drained via a tube into a drain or bucket. Overall, I've been happy with this unit. Mind, I only use it for maybe a month in the hotter  parts of summer. Hope that helps.

Do I need to remove the window net since the air conditioner need to direct the hot air outside?

Asked by: waiting99
if you can install the installation kit without removing the net, you do not have to remove the net as nothing will be protruded from the window for portable air conditioner.
