Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short lived fridge. I bought this exact same fridge (my model ends with 520 instead of 00 but every aspect is the same, they use the same owners manual) 26 November 2018. Found all our food in the freezer defrosted 1 July 2023. It lived less than 5 years from the manufacture date (August 2018). It was a decent fridge until it failed and was one of the few options that fit our 33x68.5 opening. The LG smart diagnosis is dumb, I'm not putting your app on my phone, thanks. LG brags about a 10 year warranty on the compressor and 7 on sealed system - that is parts only. Labour to repair will be $1500. Luckily they have a flat rate fridge repair for their junk compressor for $400.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fridge won’t last, can’t get fast repairs I bought this fridge two years ago. The fridge compressor just died. I just paid $412 for out of warranty technician to only find out the company is rejecting LG fridge repairs because there are too many repairs required. Now i am waiting 3-5 business days to just find out when someone can even come to fix the fridge -compressor is to have a 10 year warranty on part but not labour needed to fix it. Turns out LG has had class action suits for poor fridges. I dont recommend the brand. I would buy another fridge but its principle of just having paid $2000 juat two years ago replacing a fridge over 20 years old

After filling up the friend, we realized it was not as spacious as it seemed when it was empty. Something that was first attractive that later proved to be quite annoying is the double doors. It is rare that you can open just one to get what you want out of the fridge. Just get into the habit of opening both when you want something that's not from one of the doors. Also closing the doors is not very fluid. You have to apply a little effort to ensure it's properly closed. It does have a beep feature if the door is left open for too long. As a unit it works ok, but I would never again by a double door on such a small fridge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty compressor and LG knows it We bought this fridge five years ago and it will be in the dump in a few days. Right away we could tell it was terrible quality. In the first couple of years, the seals on the shelves became filled with condensation and began to mould. The cheese tray cover broke off just from normal use after a year. A few weeks ago, the compressor and freezer fan failed entirely. When we asked LG for a replacement, they said they would give us a deal on a new one for $400 plus $300 on installation. We then read up on the fridge and noticed there is a class action lawsuit against LG for making faulty compressors, knowing they are faulty and continuing to install them and sell them to customers. Will never buy another LG product again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Le revêtement s’écaille Première fois que j’achète des électros neufs , je choisis le revêtement black stainless pour la facilité d’entretien et voilà que je me retrouve avec le problème du revêtement qui s’écaille tout autour des poignées, après seulement 21/2 année, autant de mon frigo que de ma cuisinière! Le produit fonctionne très bien, mais le revêtement est de très mauvaise qualité. Je suis si déçu.

Alarm helps to know when door has been open too long on not shut totally ... love it. Great fridge for tall people ! (Alarm can be shut off) I would recommend this fridge/ freezer

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Décevant, bruyant. Le niveau de bruit est loin detre silencieux comme LG le prétend. Le timbre sonore du compresseur est relativement aigu et un buzz est très audible quand le compresseur est a sa vitesse maximale. C'est plus bruyant que mon ancien frigo qui avait 15 ans. J'ai fait venir un réparateur externe engagé par LG et tout semble normal selon lui. Par contre il me recommandait fortement de prendre la garantie prolongée car selon son expérience ces modèles ont des bris relativement rapidement à l'intérieur de quelques années. Décevant... tout est fait pour durer le moins longtemps possible maintenant, au nom de l'obsolescence programmée. Et le prix lui nest certes pas moins cher malgré tout. J'aurais mieux fait de faire réparer mon vieux frigo je crois. Les choses étaient faites pour durer avant. Et le son du compresseur était plus grave, donc moins audible. Ceci serait dû possible au diamètre des pistons des compresseurs. S'ils sont plus petits, le son est plus aigu. Un peu comme un petit moteur à essence versus un plus gros. Positif: l'espace intérieur est bien. L'alarme qui nous avise si une porte est mal fermée est pratique finalement après avoir testé.

The condensor failed, and even under warranty for that part it cost something like $300, plus $160 for someone to initially come out and say the condensor failed. There's only one approved person in the city who is authorized for repairs on an LG fridge. The condenser has failed 2 more times in the 1 month since this has happened. I cannot recommend this fridge.

someone motioned dents and scratches. Is the outside not really stainless steel but some kind of plastic. Can this easily chip if a child runs into it with a buggy or something like that.

Stainless steel is durable but it doesn't mean that it is a scratch-resistant. Depending on how unit will be taken care of, physical damages are not covered by Manufacturer's warranty.

30" space is not recommended for a 30" fridge. More or less, unit's measurements should be less than 30" to give clearance on sides and back of the fridge.
