Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty amazing for ventless Got this a few months back, clothes come out dry, yes it does take longer that normal driers but it works. Also, there's warm air that comes out between the washer and drier (mine is stacked), so keep door open. I was hesitant since my last experience with a Haier combo, but quite pleased with this set!

Pros: The ventless operation has saved me so much stress. My vertical vent gets clogged easily and required constant maintenance. I don't have to worry about it anymore. This unit dries quickly and quietly. Cons: It warms the room a bit. Mine is in the garage so it isn't an issue, but you wouldn't want this near a living area in the summertime. The capacity is on the smaller side but that's the trade-off going ventless.

I’m very disappointed with this dryer. I’ve had this dryer for 10 days and it’s given me nothing but grief. I’m surprised to see so many good reviews on here. I’ve had nothing but bad luck with this dryer. I’m wondering if these reviews are fake. Problems: • Large items like sheets and blankets roll up into a ball and don’t dry. The outside of the ball dries, while the inside stays wet and wrinkled! After I open the dryer, pull the ball apart, and start the dryer up again, they roll back into a ball in about ONE minute. I’m not joking. One. Minute. • It takes a very long time to dry anything. Even little baby clothes take forever. • The medium and low heat settings don’t work. Don’t bother with them. Everything has to be set to high, even if the fabric care label says tumble dry low or medium. Otherwise, clothes don’t dry. • There are too many unnecessary, complicated settings. You have to read the manual to understand what each setting does. I’ve experimented with several settings, and none of them seem to make sense or be useful. • You can’t set it for short, simple dry cycles. I wanted to dry a damp item for 15 minutes. Nope, you can’t do 15 minutes. The machine wags its finger at you if you try (it literally beeps at you if you try). • The time delay dry feature is a minimum of three hours. The other day, I wanted to delay start by an hour. Nope. Again, it wags its reproachful finger at you if you try to set the delayed dry to less than 3 hours. Yes, I read through the manual. It was useless. Yes, I’m following all the proper steps to clean out the lint dryer, empty the water reservoir, etc. But these steps don’t address my issues. I wish I’d spent a little extra money on a different brand. I paid nearly $1000 for it after taxes and delivery fees. Such a waste!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG Dryer We just purchased our new LG washer and Dryer and so far it is great except it is a little small for our loads, but that is all the bigger that we could put in our closet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Look elsewhere or invest in a clothing line. I like my LG dryer, but the corner of the lint filter keeps melting, creating an edge which twists and rips my clothing. This seems to be an issue many people are having, but one which LG isn't responding to. I certainly won't be buying another LG again if I have to buy a replacement part every couple of months just so my clothes won't get ruined. I would stay away from LG dryers until this issue is resolved. I'm rating this dryer as poor because it is destroying my clothes.

Regrettably, we do not manufacture any Compact Electric Condensing Front Load Dryers that operate on 110/120V. All our Electric Dryers require 240V and only our Gas Dryers operate on 110/120V but we do not make any Compact Gas Condensing Front Load Dryers...^IFV

Could you please tell me what power cord and vent I need for this product and where to buy? Thank you

    Asked by: CindyMarie
The power cord for the LG 4.2 cu.ft. Compact Electric Condensing Front Load Dryer, Model # DLEC888W should be a three or four-wire UL listed No.-10 AWG copper wire electrical cord rated at 240V, 30 Amps and labeled as suitable for use in clothes dryers. You will need to consult your local building inspector or your local building codes to determine if you need a 3-wire or a 4-wire cord. A 4-wire connection is required for all mobile and manufactured home installations, as well as all new construction after January 1, 1996 or where local codes prohibit grounding through the neutral terminal. This dryer uses a Condensing Drying System and is ventless...^IFV

HD's page currently showing a picture of the back of a dryer with a vent, assuming that is not a picture of this dryer? Where can I locate an image of the back of the dryer? Do I need to allow more than 25-1/4" depth for services to exit back of unit?

    Asked by: Andre
Hi Andre, thanks for your interest in our product! Unfortunately we do not have a photo of the rear of the unit to provide. You may find the instructions and clearances for installation in the owner's manual however! It is available for download on our website. Dryer kept running past its cycle whole night. Pause and start button didnt work. Opening the door stopped it. Again if we close the door it starts spinning the tub.
