[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Lifeproof flooring. This is perfect for the bathroom. Being waterproof and scratch resistant, it holds up very well to life. I installed this in a basement bathroom, right over a cement floor. Each laminate piece already has the backing to it, so there is no need for a underlayment. Installation is very easy. Just follow the pattern when cutting(cutting is really easy. Just score the front with a box cutter, and it will snap off easily), and each piece snaps together, with no seam. It is easy to clean, warm on bare feet and should last many years. Overall, a great alternative to real wood.

This flooring is fantastic, comfortable to walk on, It is the new look we wanted without the expense of real hard wood, but the same quality. We are doing the three kids rooms and their closets. We are having a PRO install them in our new house. They snap together real easy and look like a wooden floor. They are water resistant, so if there is a spill, it wipes up easy and should not soak in and have the material swell. It boasts a "24 Hour" water resistance, and the construction in 12 mm for durability. I may even do my workshop.

This product is beautiful. The cases of laminate flooring came unexpected because I did not receive an email, which I normally do. I just happened to come home early and received the cases of flooring delivered from UPS. Although I haven't had the flooring installed yet, I am sure they will work perfectly in my basement. The floor color is grey laminate and strong in quality. I didn't give the product 5 stars because they haven't been installed yet because I will have to hire someone to put the floor down. I highly recommend this product. I only wish I had more.

I was trying to decide on tile or wood I ended up deciding to try the gunmetal oak - It looks great. I was impressed at the thickness of the laminate - I often see 8mm thick - This is 50% thicker. I used this in my kitchen and entry. The bad part for me now is; I am not having to decide do I carpet my den or change it to Laminate. What a problem - I thought I had an easy solution but now I guess it is time to change to laminate. Also when walking on it doesn't clack - I did put a laminate pad underneath it

I have a concrete floor and with the right floor liner it is a perfect solution for helping with insulating a cold floor. The Aged Gunmetal Oak's texturing and warm brown color looks like real hardwood. This flooring is so easy to install almost any one can do it with the right tools. If you need help with finding the right tools or help which install it ask your Home Depot specialist and they can give you helpful hints for your floor. I hope this helps with your decision. Good luck with all your projects.

Just finished stripping the floor and am now waiting for the underlay to arrive before installing. We've placed the planks in the room and are waiting for them to acclimate before we install. Since we couldn't wait to see how it looked, we placed a couple of them down just to get a sense of how it would look. I'd have to say that this is one gorgeous looking floor. Can't wait to install and can tell the installation will be fairly straightforward if you've ever used laminate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I still have not installed this flooring because I have to wait until I have help cleaning out the computer room to remove the carpet tack-strips and carpet and then get the underlayment before proceeding with the installation. I will definitely update my review once this process is completed but I can tell you now, the quality, appearance and durability of this laminate flooring will be perfect for this room as it will get its normal wear and tear but not too much traffic. I think it'll be a good fit for the room and I the color is vibrant & dark & beautifully designed to appear just like real wood. I don't have it installed but I know it will be great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lifeproof's Aged Gunmetal Oak Laminate Flooring is a very hard, sturdy floor replacement. It is much thicker product than a vinyl floor alternative. These planks are like composite hardwood boards covered with a decorative wood grain laminate. I found the color to be a little more of a greenish grey colored plank as opposed to brown. It is still very attractive, but is more of a aged, casual look. I was happy that the knots didn't stand out as much as I was worried about. Please note that the floor is water resistant but should not be installed in a sauna, near a pool, etc. I love the fact that this product is made in America with North American and European materials.

What is the appropriate T-Moulding and Stair Nose to use for this laminate (both for thickness and colour)? Does the manufacturer recommend anything? The instructions say it's required, but no mention of where or how to buy it.

Can this be installed directly on basement concrete floor?

Hello Freddy, you can install Aged Gunmetal Oak on a concrete sub-floor. You must first install a vapor barrier, then a laminate underlayment, and finally the flooring can be installed. I hope this helps. Thank you!
