Rated 2 out of 5 by from Scratches easily I bought this instead of using tile or wood for my kitchen thinking it would be durable. Just moving the fridge which is on wheels and never scratched the former "sticky tile" floor left scratches as did the stove. I am trying to protect it by putting felt on everything but was not expecting to have to do this on a "lifeproof" floor because I am now afraid to move a chair. It looks fine and installs easily but it wasn't particularly cheap and didn't make it 24 hours without getting damaged. I don't recommend for this reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product We bought this to install over existing ceramic tile. The whole thing has us a bit worried but seemed much quicker and easier than having the tile removed. We did have it installed by a flooring installer (took him a day for 360 sq ft, would’ve taken us a week) so I can’t speak to the DIY of it but man does it look amazing and seem like great quality. Obviously I can’t speak to the longevity but I will update this if anything flaws over time.

The only issue is the tiles have a light gray background and some of the tiles in each box have a distinctly lighter background almost a white. The white ones were definitely a stand out and most of them were waste. We tried to use them up under the appliances but still had to throw away a lot of them. We liked them so much that we ordered another 6 boxes to do the bathroom and we are hoping that there will be no coloir variations in this batch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tenants like it I have installed this in a few apartments. I can’t comment on long term wear. My tenants think it looks great and is easy to clean. I cut it with a jig saw during installation and the pieces fit tightly together. I accidentally scratched a piece with my utility knife and I was able to completely hide the scratch using my pencil. I put this floor in the kitchen, hallway and bathrooms of my apartments. The Veiled Grey looks good adjacent to hardwood floors in the living room / dining room. During installation it is difficult to see pencil lines so I use a fine point marker to mark cuts and that is somewhat easier to see. I wouldn’t install this in a living room or bedrooms but that’s just my opinion.

Does the Arctic Valley Stone Flooring have a pinky tone to it or is that just how the photo of the bathroom in the description appears? Thanks

Yes some of them have a slight pinky tone but the color variations between the planks make it important to mix the planks with consideration. Some of the planks have a lot of white.

Can this product be installed over existing (very thin) carpet? We are hoping to use it in our new storefront that we are currently renovating. We want the look of marble or stone, but do not want to use regular tiles.

No I wouldn’t  put it over carpet. I have installed this product in 2 rooms. You require the under surface to be level and solid for it to interlock properly. I hope this answer your questions.

You can stagger by cutting your starter piece in half and using the other end for an end cut

I love the look of this tile! Is it truly waterproof? I'd like to use my steam mop to clean the floors, especially since my puppy is still in the "accident" stage.

Yes it is. That’s why we chose this flooring, in case of puppy accidents. We love it. It’s nice I’m the winter time, not cold like the ceramic we used to have.
