Rated 2 out of 5 by from Warning on Lack of Wear Layer Information My suspicion is that this HD site is NOT publishing the Wear Layer thickness, because the layer is ONLY 6 mils. That is a barely acceptable thickness for flooring. Wear layers go up to 20 mils, for vinyl laminate. I am upset in that I had to spend so much time to find out what the actual wear layer thickness was.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great It looks great. Used it in a basement renovation. Installed the vinyl on a dricore sub-floor. The general contractor struggled with getting the pieces to fit together perfectly. It was their first time installing vinyl, as they were only experienced with laminate. Apparently vinyl is more difficult. This resulted in about 5 minor gaps (1mm) in total, which were between some of the board ends. For reference, we used ~ 500sq/ft of flooring total.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good flooring & got it on sale! We used this flooring in our basement. We paid someone to install it & they had no complaints. We chose it for the thickness & the price. Initially, we thought the colour might have a slight green cast, but decided to get it anyway because the price was right. In non-store lighting & with warmer paint colours on the wall -- we no longer see any green in the flooring. Feels good under foot & looks good too. We did have it installed with DMX airflow underneath because we have had some water issues in the past.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Plus difficile à installer qu’on croyait et déçu Nous avons acheté ce produit, il a un beau look mais l’installation a été difficile malgré tous les outils qu’il faut, certaines planches sont difficiles à installer sans avoir de jours aux joints, si c’était a recommancer mon conjoint dit qu’il ne l’aurait pas acheté vu sa difficulté à installer et cela a laisser des joints visibles malheureusement

What is the difference between isocore and solid polymer core? And what is the wear thickness of this flooring?

    Asked by: lisa6442
do not know the difference, all I know is we had previous 2 experiences with this brand and really liked it both times so we went for it again and have not been disappointed. It was easy to work with and easy to install and has been great wearing, easy to keep clean and still looks and feels great.

We are considering this flooring for our basement. We don't normally have any water issues, however for subgrade installation should a separate underlayment be used? Right now our floor is concrete no subfloor.

    Asked by: Cindy 22
I would not install directly on the concrete. We installed this flooring in our basement last year as the previous flooring was laid directly on the concrete with a thin vapour barrier and was causing issues. We put down dricore subfloor prior to flooring and have been very happy with the result.

I purchased this flooring for use in my condo, but now my strata is saying the STC rating isn't high enough. What options do I have to increase the soundproofing between this product and a concrete subfloor? I don't want to return it :(

    Asked by: Hotcrossbun
We purchased this flooring not being aware of a pattern on it. This repeating pattern resembles a "fish". It was not shown on the packaging and we only discovered it after it was installed. Also, the insulating factor of the foam has no effect. P.S. We have not purchased a single thing from Home Depot since buying this overpriced flooring.

The video mentions 'not suitable for non-temperature controlled areas'- my question: is this product suitable to be installed on a concrete floor of a finished pool house that is completely insulated but not heated in the winter months?

    Asked by: Karen N Glen
we installed the product on a finished concrete floor but it is in a living area that is heated. no problems at all but unheated? no experience with that.

Can these LVP planks be installed on the stair steps? If yes whether they be installed with the pre attached underlayment or need to remove the underlayment to add glue to the actual vinyl part??

    Asked by: Mandi
I will be fitting the stair treads (LVP planks) with the stair noseings Home depot supply, leaving the foam backing on, letting them float, with a 1/8th space for expanding, not that this will happen much with 1 and a 1/2 boards, will be gluing the riser board, removing the foam backing.

Can I put a large slate pool table on this flooring?

    Asked by: TSVL
Thank you for your question- The load limit is 250 PSI. Slate tables are really heavy. If the legs are large , you may want to cut out for them.

Luxury Vinyl Flooring and IIC & STC ratings How do I find out the Impact Insulation Class rating and Sound Transmission Class ratings for this LifeProof luxury vinyl flooring? Can you please provide a link to the technical specifications.

    Asked by: BCB49
Thanks for your question. Homedepot.ca does not provide the technical data sheets but you can find them on homedepot.com. Please see the link below. The planks are a slightly different width in the US market but the product thickness and construction are the same so the IIC and STC numbers are the same.
