Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scratches easy I am disappointed with this flooring. I installed about 1800sqft about a year and a half ago, and it scratches incredibly easy... as in it had scratches on it before I was even done installing the entire floor. I’ll be surprised if we get 10 years max out of it. I had multiple issues with the interlocking installation, with the tongue breaking in many planks and not installing securely. If I could return it for something else I would. The other issue I have is there was only about seven different plank stamps... be very careful when installing it not to install identical planks near each other. Overall I regret spending my hard earned money on this floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifeproof vinyl plank do it yourself Purchased rhis flooring as a first time do it your self project. It had great reviews and there are many utube videos for guidance. Since I had never laid any kind of flooring before and I am just learning how to use power tools I ran into a few minor issues but nothing that was the fault of the product it was just a learning curve for me. It has been in my room for 2 months now and I love the product. I am planning on ordering enough to complete a second room in my home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Check box for batch date! Purchased 24 boxes for curbside pickup during lockdown. Had installer put down floor. Got home and noticed a difference in color mr.men the first 5rows he put down. He didn't notice or pay attention assumed it was wall reflection. Checked the boxes, sure enough there were boxes from different dates. You WILL notice a color difference, this may not bother you if you mix them in but if you are like me and like consistency make sure all your boxes are fron the same batch. Luckily these are "higher end" vinyl so installer was able to cut out first few rows and install proper batch backwards (luckily in stock and I was able to pickup myself in person) Check batch date prior to install, there ARE differences! There were 3 batch dates for the driftwood we purchased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Flooring I bought this based on the reviews that it was durable. 750sq feet later and I can confirm that THIS FLOORING IS NOT DURABLE. There are many hairline scratches in it... after 2 weeks of being installed. Going to be submitting a claim. As far as the installation process goes I am also not impressed. Many of the tongue and groove plans were damaged while trying to install, a utility knife only worked for scoring straight lines and did nothing when trying to cut around corners. If I could go back in time knowing what I know now, I would have installed something else.

Finalement pour le prix il est vraiment peu fiable. Après quelques semaines le planché est plein de marques ne se réparant pas. ils disnet garantie à vie, mais finalement contre des éléments peut probable. non garantie contre une utilisation normal, comme des chaises qui glissent sur le planché. Donc ce produit est vraiment mauvais par rapport à son prix. S'il se brise juste en glissant nos chaises imaginé avec autre produit tel que les griffes de chiens etc.

I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing these floors worried they weren’t durable enough but took my chances. Turns out they’re quite durable and I’m very happy with them. They look great too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Installs Easy !! repetitive pattern This floor went down nicely, locks worked well, did 2 bedrooms, and they look good the ISSUE::: I would not recommend this for a large area, the pattern repetition is unbelievable for a flooring of such price, ( the pattern puts one in mind of 99 cent laminate) Usually when purchasing a flooring of this cost the image is much larger and the pattern is much harder to pick up be careful when laying this floor so you don't end up with multiple identical pieces side by side I have more of my home I want to do , I will investigate other manufactures

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a Quality product LifeProof’s Driftwood Beach Vinyl Plank Flooring is certainly not a good quality product as it claimed in it’s product description. Even though LifeProof claims it’s Vinyl Plank has Scratch Protect surface coating, but it gets Scratch on it’s planks so easily. I bought this item for my house in Sep 2020 from Home Depot and the floors at my home now look very ugly with many Scratches. It is also not stain resistant. I have all the proofs with me and do not recommend this item to my friends and family.

How do I cut a hole in the middle of the flooring for over a drain?

Can this be installed over the DMX Underlay?

Thank you for your question-This product can't be installed over DMX underlay. There is an attached pad already on the product. If you need an underlay, the only one approved is the Quic Prep Premium Universal Underlayment

If I install this in a large room with large windows and patio doors ( cobblestone finish) does it get hot from sunlight?

Thanks for your question. The Lifeproof planks do need to be protected from excessive direct sunlight because it can fade the planks and the heat can cause damage and buckling or gapping. You'll need to use blinds, curtains, or window film/tint on the doors and/or windows.

Does it need a underlayment to be installed when installing on a concrete basement floor?

Thanks for your question. An underlayment is not required when using this product. Over concrete you can use 6 mil poly as a moisture/vapor barrier but that's all.

How is this product for being sound proof for apartments?  The flooring is rough cement.  Could I add an underlay to fill in those rough spots of the cement?

Thank you for your question-LifeProof Luxury Vinyl Flooring features an innovative highly engineered closed-cell foamed PVC core that delivers rigidity and strength, yet is lightweight and easy to handle and install. Since it has pre-attached underlay, you can not add another one, as this would void your warranty. Must be level to within ¼" in a 10ft. (6mm in a 3m) span; no bumps or low spots. Subfloors should not slope more than 1" per 6ft. (25mm per 1.8m). • Must be clean: no construction debris, soil, mud or any other objects on or adhering to the floor; if necessary, scrape and sweep away before the installation; no protrusions of nails, debris, or metals should remain. • Must be free from moisture-related conditions that can damage the installed flooring. • Be structurally sound without deflection. CONCRETE SUBFLOORS • High spots can be removed by grinding; depressions can be filled with patching compound formulated for use in floor installation.

2 questions for an existing bathroom with old floor removed: 1) How do I finish around the bathtub.  What is the recommended way to keep the join waterproof? Silicone? 2) Can this go under the toilet? (my preference) Or do I just go up to the toilet?

Thanks for your question. 100% silicone is what we recommend to cover the expansion space at the tub and toilet. The toilet can also be taken up and the planks put underneath. Just leave about 1/2" of expansion around the flank and anything you have to bolt to the subfloor.

Can this be installed over existing lamented flooring without any additional overlay? Thanks!

Yes it will cover anything. The trick with this product is it cannot be frozen as it will crack. I could not use it in a 3 season cabin. Covered concrete bsmt floor with only a thin padding and the flooring. Covered an entrance way and stairs that had ceramic tiles with nothing between. Looks great after 2 years of heavy traffic.

Hi can I install the luxury vinyl plank flooring on top of DMX Airflow underlayment or Delta FL underlayment, which will be on top of the concrete slab in my basement?

If using over concrete I'd highly recommend Dricore be placed down first. This is an approved subfloor for Lifeproof and will not void the warranty.
