The Lifetime Sport Fisher is the ultimate fishing kayak. The tunnel hull design makes it possible to stand up and fish, or to sit side-saddle without tipping over. It seats up to three people, providing comfortable, balanced seating for solo, tandem, or family fun. With scupper holes, multiple footrest positions, and moulded carry handles, the Sport Fisher is perfect for recreational fishing trips. The Lifetime Sport Fisher also includes two padded backrests, fishing pole holders, and a 6" storage hatch for added convenience. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super stable and has a huge payload I've had this boat for 3 years now. The only downside is the weight, but even that means it is not super thin and delicate. This is by far the most stable kayak I have ever been in. It also goes straight as an arrow in the water. Lots of people don't realize that in kayaking there can be a lot of wasted energy keeping the kayak going in the right direction. Not so with this one. We are a family of 5 and have all ridden on this kayak at the same time. It is over the recommended weight, but it did it with ease. We have fished off of it many times. It is stable and wonderful. We have recommended it to everyone. We have extended family who has bought them and love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product is a good value for the cost The kayak seems to be a good value. Bought as a christmas present, it showed up before christmas. We unpackaged it t o find out it had been damaged. Called customer service and returned to local store. Had to go back on line to order another one. Of course it did not make it for christmas. Second one delivered, unpacked the plastic wrap is all that it comes in to find out it has scratches on it. We decided to keep because we figure we will end up getting small scratches under normal use anyway. As for the kayak, we used one time so far and it worked pretty good. For the price, the quality is pretty good . We think this is a good value for the beginner.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Workmenship My ordered Sport Fisher just arrived after close to 3-week S&H wait. I unwrapped it and found three defects - two if them would cause it to leak at the aft hatch and drain plug. The opening for the drain plug assembly had been cut about 20% too large and the edges showed around the housing. I don't understand how QA did not catch this. The aft deck at the storage hatch was pushed inward causing the edge of the hatch to bend at the rivet. Now I have to wait weeks to return it and have a new one shipped out. The season will be over and it will end up in basement until next year. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied stable versital fishing kayak I was sceptical about the positive reviews that I read, but after using it once I'm impressed. Took my 16 year old son fishing and a great time. The water is still cold so I wasn't planning on getting wet. The high seat kept me dry. It was very stable and handled wakes from other boats with no problem. The clips on the side are convient and keep the paddles out of the way. We used the front straps for the tackle box and all three rod holders. (always take an extra rod). Plenty of room for the two of us and the kayak is only 10', also paddled up stream (against the outgoing tide) with no problem.

I've had my kayak nearly 5 years now and it had a few defects I was willing to look over for a while. Eventually it started bothering my physical health so I filed a warranty claim. Within the week of filing a claim they'd sent a pickup for the kayak free of charge. I had to reschedule the pickup and the company they used to pick up my kayak were no less than amazing helping my clueless self with the process. Everything went smoothly, I'm more than satisfied, I'm amazed with their services.

Perhaps two adults and one child. The back rests are comfortable and really take a lot of strain on your abs. Comfortable handle for carrying and lots of grab holes in the bottom also. Wide platform makes it stable enough to stand on and fish from. 2 rod holders make moving easy and clips on side of kayak keep paddles from getting lost. Cup holders for your favorite fishing beverages. Storage compartment is plentiful and water tight. Paddles are collapsible for easy transportation and are lightweight yet sturdy. It is very versatile in the aspect that you can add an electric motor to the kayak for even more fun. A solid kayak made in the USA

They were delivered in 3 weeks as promised. These kayaks are well built and are very stable. There is plenty of room for me and my 9 year old daughter on mine and my wife and 14 year old son on hers. I would have rated 5 stars but I took one off as it does not track like other kayaks. In a little swifrer water.it can be hard to maneuver but after a couple of times I have figured out what to do on this kayak. I recommend spending the extra money for more comfortable seats especially for long float trips.

Could not ask for a better fishing kayak. It's reasonably priced, very stable and has plenty of room for all my gear. Lifetime is a great company as well. I contacted them after I unfortunately did not screw my storage cap on tightly enough and it flew off during one of my trips. With no questions asked they are sending me a new one free of charge! Plan on buying my next kayak from them in the future.

How stable is it. Looking for something to take out in the gulf

This thing is extremely stable. I took it out in the bay at Assateague Island State Park. Water was calm, but it should be very stable even in small waves. You can actually stand on it easily.

Is it possible that this kayak can sink ?

It's very difficult to get this kayak to sink. It would have to fill up with water on the inside of the body. I flipped the kayak and somehow a little water did make it through into the body of the kayak but definitely not enough to sink it.

Our 5 foot tall son likes to stand while a parent paddles, and it remains stable on calm back waters at least, but it's not really the right size/shape for stand-up paddling, and there's no flat spot for your feet to go.

Best way would be to place it in the back of your truck or roof rack of your car, tie it down real good and drive it to the nearest Home Depot. You can always ask Home Depot Customer Service if they are willing to send you a return shipping label. Then you can schedule a pick up.

can you stand up on the kayak

I have stood on it on land. If it has been in the sun, I would avoid standing on it anywhere. The plastic isn't made to support point load weight like that. I weigh 135# and I flex the plastic. It will fatigue and fracture after time. If you are thinking of standup paddle board style, you should make a platform that fits and fastens down to spread out your weight. With practice you should be able to do that but remember that you're not using it as designed so be prepared to have some unexpected results.
