Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Welding Rods I started welding some time ago so I bought a stick welder. I picked up these electrodes too. The arc burns hot in a haze of green, and the welds are strong. I practiced on scrap steel, then I welded an anchor that needed mending. These are great welding rods and only cost $15!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This 40-80 amp electrode requires skill to strike & maintain arc. My 110V 75 amp inverter welder used it. I'm learning to weld and have not given up trying. It came in a 5 lb cardboard box with a plastic wrap cover sealed end flaps. For packaging comparison of 2 brands. Another brand came in a nice plastic case plastic wrap around the electrodes and the plastic case.. This review is about my very first E6011 3/32" ever in the 40-80 amp DC electrode + specification. The E6011 3/32" seems to be a hot tempered electrode that was somewhat difficult for a beginner to start & maintain an arc with a 110V 75amp inverter welder. It was chilly 56F too maybe a metal preheat & warmer temperatures will help. Finally I used a Performax 110V 75 amp inverter welder. The E6011 3/32" seemed to work or behave best at 60 amps. Max power approx. 75 amps it splattered more. My order of preference so far is. 1. E7014 5/64" 2. E6013 5/64". 3. E6011 3/32"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3/32 IN. 5 LB. 180 E6011 FLEETWELD STICK ELECTRODE It is a good feeling to find a small box of welding electrodes for a reasonable price at Home Depot. Home Depot is my number one place for purchasing my repair or DIY projects. I am lucky to live one mile from a Home Depot store. The sales personnel are friendly and very helpful at all times.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I will say that the price for the welding rods... I will say that the price for the welding rods was quite good but I find that several rods act as if they are wet. A few have flux crumbled off which could be the shipping but several do not flow as they should. They start great and then start to stick, just like wet rods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The rod works well and flows smooth. Typical 6011 rod,... The rod works well and flows smooth. Typical 6011 rod, a bit pricy compared to a 50lb box but when you need a small amount to finish a project, and don't have a rod oven, you get what you need.
